  1. .......which will be more expensive than buying the conversion outright.
  2. Here's the link to Hannants. It's a pretty straightforward conversion. I went ahead and ordered it today. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/MC-48001 Chris
  3. Is this conversion a turd? It's supposed to be a resin clone of the upper forward fuselage of the Kinetic kit. Thanks, Chris
  4. I'm currently working on their Soyuz TMA launch tower and actually having a really nice time building the kit. I'd like to buy their Mercury Atlas LUT (I ask a few posts down the page if anyone has this kit for sale). More importantly, my Soyuz kit has a few busted resin pieces I'd like to get replacements for. Ive tried contacting them through their website with negative results. The service that verifies that "you're not a computer" is no longer active, therefore, the messages I've sent won't go through. Does anyone know if they have a regular email? Thanks,
  5. Hotdog, I'm with Habu. I've got the nice little Shuttle/SCA kit, which would benefit from some extra detail. Chris
  6. I can't seem to find a source for this kit anywhere. None of the dealers listed on the LVM website or eBay has turned up any positive results. Does anyone know who sells this kit? Thanks, Chris
  7. Will any love be shown for the EP-3 as well such as VQ-2?
  8. I bought the big set to compliment the old Goffy detail kits I've had in the stash. The detail is phenomenal in the set. I can't comment if there are any fit issues. Buy it if you plan on blowing it out and going all the way. Chris
  9. I'm thinning the model herd and have the Hasegawa Super Tomcat decals, instructions, and test boom for sale. The kit has been scavenged over time and only good for parts. PM me if interested. Chris
  10. I'd love to do a Flightline diorama and this set is almost a "must have". There is one available on eBay for $65, which seems excessive. I'm willing to pay an inflated price because of its rarity and/or will trade some of the OOP kits and aftermarket that you might be looking for. Thanks, Chris
  11. I acquired this kit years ago and what's in the box has become a bit of a mess. Parts off trees, multiple kits dumped into one, neglect, etc. The kit itself will probably end up in the trash. The "Super Tomcat" decals (kit SP12) for 157986 and instructions are in tip top shape. I also have the nose test boom. The box is in pretty good shape as well with a little crushing on one corner. I'm selling the markings, boom, and instructions for $35 shipped CONUS. I can go through the kit and get it 100% up to speed if you want a Hasegawa D with a Black Box cockpit for
  12. Exactly. I'm go To have a hard time figuring out the time (and posses the skill) to build the TMA launcher I already have. That kit was $400 not including the New Ware rocket, which was $100 when it first came out. To me it it'll probably end up being cost prohibitive ($1000+) and such a huge project that the return on the investment won't be there. I hope I'm wrong.
  13. OK, so I'm one of those guys who will throw a ton of cash at a kit to add a fair amount of detail. I enjoy adding these extra sets and the work that goes into these sets. The Modelcollect B-2 is a very nice kit that has some detail shortcomings like th weapons and wheel bays. Eduard has released a few pricey sets to spruce up these areas, but I'm skeptical about 2D brass-only sets. I believe that resin sets would work best in these areas especially with the rotary launchers and details that just don't look great as etched brass. Any rumors out there
  14. Mostly late 80s to early 90s. I do want to keep it somewhat neutral so I can drop an F-18F/F-35C down to even an F-4 and keep it somewhat authentic looking. The JBL is from Skunkworks (total POS), so that limits things to Nimitz and beyond. Chris
  15. Thanks GW. If I don't do or add stupid stuff to the cranials; think I'll be safe?
  16. Thanks Tom, but what about some of the stickers and markings on the helmets? Personalization or does each marking have a meaning. Ive been using this website for a bit but still looking to cover some of the finer details. Thanks, Chris
  17. Ive been messing with a carrier deck diorama (F-14 launch), and pretty much have their colored uniforms handled, but now I'm noticing that the cranials don't always match the shirt/tunic and often have different colored stickers on them (sometimes a rectangle alternation orange and green for example). Is their a publicly available primer or page from some Navreg book that explains all of this? Open source photos and the toms of reference materials I have don't really explain any of this. I'd like to do my best at getting it right. Thanks,
  18. It's impressive to see what has been done to this point. I have the LVM TMA set and one day I'm looking forward to doing the set justice. However, why not make the LUT out of injected molded plastic and/or resin to get this project further along and a place available to a larger client base.
  19. Bob, Email was sent a bit ago. Thanks for reaching out. Chris
  20. I have lots to trade or $$$$. Please PM me if you have one you'd like to unload. Thanks, Chris
  21. Nothing to see here.
  22. HAD Models from Hungary made some really nice resin airfield trucks. I'm mostly interested in the starter truck, however, the fueler/tanker is also something I'm looking for. Please let me know if you have one you'd like out of your life. Thanks, Chris
