But, if you look at the end of Wrath of Khan, and compare it to the beginning of Search for Spock... it has way more damage in #3 than it did at the end of #2. How bout it?

With the magnificent Polar Lights kit that just came out, I have a rekindled interest in the trek movies. But, and this is coming from a guy who hasn't been a trek fan for a while, why does the Enterprise have more battle damage on it in movie #3 than at the end of #2??? Interested in hearing your "theories"....

Just trying to finish off my Tamiya Seiran... I have been at it for almost 2 hours working on the wing roundels alone, and they show no sign of snuggling down. I have tried Humbrols' Decal Fix.... which is now in the Garbage. I tried my old standby Micro Sol, and that only seems to wrinkle the outside edges of the roundels. Not to mention that the decals that go on the front of the pontoons cracked into a million little shards after I had put it on the pontoon. How in the name of all that is good and pure can a company as world renowned as Tamiya have such CRAP decals???? I didn't even ha

I had a bit of a nightmare with Humbrol Gloss recenly. I had a model with a pure white finish, and I wanted to seal it with a nice, thick gloss coat. I laid the Humbrol gloss perhaps too thick (too much at once), and it turned a nice sickly shade of yellow. I find that if you are wanting to use Humbrol Clear Gloss, it should be used on a dark colored subject, as the yellowing doesn't seem to be visibly obvious. I am, however, switching to ModelMaster Matt and Gloss clear coats after I run out of the Humbrol, as I am a big fan of their Semi-Gloss already.

Hey there Guys. I thought I might give the group build thing a try, as the kit I'm currently doing falls under the purview of the contest's rules. I started Tamiya's 1/48 Seiran a couple of weeks ago, and though there is already one entered, I want to see how it stacks up to your guys' kits (to see where I need to improve my skills) I'm looking forward to sharing my work with you all. Hey folks. I bought a whole bunch of new brushes today, and I wonder if I should bother throwing out my old frazzled ones. I will keep a couple for drybrushing, etc...., but I have way too many old detail ones. I have no idea why I keep them. Does anyone have a suggestion for the use of these old things? Or should I send them to the circular file??? Thanks guys and girls....

Liked the ending with the inclusions of the Enterprises and the monologues. Liked seeing Riker and Troi, and the "D" again, but thought it was kind of odd to tack the last episode of the series onto an episode of the Next Gen. Too much focus on that I think, not enough on the characters. Would have been nicer I think if they had just focused on Enterprise stuff only. The way they wrapped it up seemed kind of rushed. At least with the other series finales (Voyager almost didn't do it), they were done fairly tidy. This one kind of left me with the impression "Ok, what's next?" rather tha

Through the extreme graciousness of a friend of mine (and a little bit of cash), I now posess this monster sized mixed-media kit. Does anyone else out there have this thing in their collection? Hi guys... I need some help, or rather, an explanation. I used to use Tamiya all the time (about 4-5 years ago), and I used to thin it with Polly S Airbrush thinner for water base acryllic colors. (You know, the windex looking stuff). Never had problems at all. I tried spraying the new "Nato Green", but the paint pigment seemed to separate from the carrier liquid. My airbrush and paint cup were clean, I didn't see any globs of thinner floating in the mix. Can anyone explain what happened here? Has Tamiya changed their formulation in the past couple of years? Any help would be apprecia

Hey guys... I don't visit this forum much, so I kind of feel a little "outsiderish".... I have always been a fan of the Hind A. I have a few external pictures of it, but I really would like shots of the interior. I heard there was once a 1/72 kit of it once, but I haven't seen it in any stores lately. It would be nice if there was one in 1/48, but I would guess that there isn't one at all. Can anyone help me out here?
