  1. Hi This will be a somewhat involved build so I want to start plodding on this too. Avionix Pit, Zactoman intakes etc... I started scribing the panel lines, and that's all we have right now. Thank you! Calvin Arthur
  2. How's that modeling mojo? I have started on my Hasegawa 1/32 Netz a while back and am looking forward to getting back into it now. your Barak has got me back into the desert.......
  3. Hi, How are you're eyes holding up? Working with 1/350 PE railings etc. I have two 1/350 boats that I would like to build but they seem small to me. (USS Quincy and the IJN Chokai) I am looking at the 1/200 boats and thinking I would like to build the Arizona and/or the HMS Hood. But then getting PE for those monsters and were right back to the small fiddly bits. Just thinking out loud........ By the way, nice work on your boat. Calvin
  4. Or like so...... Has it made much of a difference? Well, this is the aft gear door in position....... Me happy...... That's all for now folks P.S. When do we get lots more emoticons to play with? this just won't cut it....
  5. We removed this fairing, thinned it down, and glued it back on, but only glued at the white plastic spacer edge..... The idea is to get the line to look like the real thing, or as close as we can working within the thickness of the plastic....
  6. We'll start here....this will be the most fwd point of the adjustment.... and this will be the aft point. That's where the leading edge of the vertical fin is.... Again....
  7. And making adjustments on the wheel door, the door is wrong anyway...... And speaking of wrong....
  8. And trimming the kit plastic at the only spot needed..... Me happy.....
  9. Or another way to put it, it's parallel to the lateral center line now..... And we have a couple of options to fit the well, I chose to remove some of the resin edge because it's softer than the kit plastic.... You could remove some of the kit plastic instead.... Marking with the lead holder (we get very sharp points)....
  10. But unfortunately the wheel wells are on an angle and that is incorrect................so, Aires makes an adjustment to the main wheel well, and it's perpendicular to the aircraft center line now......
  11. Looking at the Aires wheel well.... there are lots of joggles on the top edge... We could just sand it flush on the top edge and glue it on.......... Like so,
  12. Hi Pep, Thanks for dropping in! Tis the season to build models, Fa la la la la la la la la. Let's see, where was I................Oh yea, And after, we thinned the kit plastic, with a little elbow grease!
  13. Before..... That's all for now..... Thank you!!!!
  14. The Eddie IP looks great! Unfortunately it's the wrong color.. Doh!!
  15. And the Eddie IP needs to be trimmed too..... To fit this
  16. There wasn't any space between the rudder pedals and the floor. So...... And the fit is good. They need to be cut down.
  17. Hi, Update, Just plodding along........... I want to use the Eduard scuff plates so...... The rudder bar needs to be removed.
  18. Thanks Chris! Now that Thanksgiving is gone, Merry Christmas and a very happy New year to you and yours!
  19. And speaking of Blue Angel Blue......... As seen through my Nikon.......
  20. The farther away an object is, the lighter the color, as shown at the bottom of the page. And thanks 82Whitey51 for the info!!
  21. Or this might be better, Alclad steel was too dark for the first color. We are going to work from light to dark so I wanted a very light color to start with... I was thinking about doing a Flanker with the early stinger and using 'Z'man's tail mod but this is the bird that does it for me so...... this is the color scheme we will shoot for Thank you Rom! Later boys
