  1. Better than the original Midway movie for sure. It hit alot of the big items, missed on lots of details but overall better than I expected from the modern movie industry.
  2. Better shot of what I was trying to do.
  3. If you're paying attention and dry fitting I didn't reach any major issues during the fuselage and wing assembly. There weren't instructions available when we first got the kit and had to rely on early PDFs without sequencing so there were some self introduced issues. Some parts just snap together which is really nice but as always...TEST FIT If you make sure that all of the fuselage pins and posts are alligned and inserted all the way then the fuselage flattens out where some see the gap along the wing seal on the rear edge. The wings went together without any issues
  4. Four were at my local show today. Anyone want to take a guess of how many questions about the hips or panel lines there were?
  5. Not much detectable difference under paint on my example. Some slide mold lines that I opted not to worry about.
  6. Had to finish the build for a deadline so I wasn't able to get these up sooner:
  7. Nope, I’m saying I’m building it to find out for myself. I haven’t found the same issues that others have about the panel lines on the parts. Missing rivets is subjective as well as the slat wells because these are things that have been criticized on others kits from having. my review won’t be glowing as there are a number of engineering choices that have baffled and frustrated me. In the end it’s been both fun and frustrating, which is kinda the hobby
  8. we need to fix it? that says alot from those who haven't seen the kit at all, let alone tried to build it.
  9. so many people forgetting to have fun...
  10. It's a nice build so far. The engineering for the flaps, slats and spoilers is really nice and easy post painting assembly.
  11. The preliminary report is out https://app.ntsb.gov/pdfgenerator/ReportGeneratorFile.ashx?EventID=20191002X11326&AKey=1&RType=Prelim&IType=MA Pretty good summary here:
  12. By flying them around the country they are bringing the museums to the people. Even to many people who wouldn't otherwise even go to a museum to see one. How many museums let you crawl through the aircraft on display? The term Living History Flight Experiences mean just that, it's living a semblance of history.
  13. way to be positive dude...
  14. I like it, maybe it can still get kitted...
  15. Many of the people that Terry and Anthony have contacted about building are members of the forum. Most have been posting on other media because of the ease of getting photos up vs here.
  16. Oh and ps, there are no lines on the individual canopy parts.
  17. No, Dave and Terry really are on to something. I'm literally looking at the part right now and am only seeing 2 mold lines to remove, just like almost every other modern aircraft canopy. The molds are aligned really well at both ends.
  18. Sio has mentioned that there will be an A and then a B afterwards.
