  1. Andrew, A6BSTRAM and LanceB, thanks for the inputs  Your replies helped a lot and paved the way to find the answers that I was looking for. The point here is the following, our model group has a commitment to make a 1/72 display showing all the planes that were equipping active duty carrier based squadrons from 1947 to 2007, it could be named “60 Years of History†or “With the red bars†or something else, but we haven’t named it yet. The basic rules that we assumed for this project are: - Joining this group must be fun. - The planes must have been equipping active duty car

    USN aircrafts

Folks, I’ve tried to track the use of the some USN aircrafts after the war without much success, so does anyone know which WWII era aircrafts, that actually took part in the conflict, were used operationally aboard the US carriers after 1946, not considering the training, reserve or development units? Thanks. Claudio

    Training load

Folks, Would be correct or at least reasonable to use a 100 lbs bomb as a live training load on a VF-151 Bearcat? Thanks a lot for your time  Claudio

  9. Nice work Steve and very inspiring too. :D CMR has indeed a lot of attractive models on the market being the price its drawback. I bought its Wyvern just a couple of weeks before the announcement of the Trumpeter’s release, now I have both and definitely none inspiration to start to work with the resin one. <_< Considering what I’ve heard and have seen plus your comments about the way that it builds it makes me thing again that maybe I should try one of theirs Seafire, this is always a very difficult decision considering that I need to deal with my modeling budget. Claudio
  10. Despite the quality that you mentioned your work is turning out very nicely Keep posting. Claudio

  13. Very good job! :D The early jets are my favorites I am following with interest your build, I’ve already ordered mine from Hannants and I would like to know if you encountered the same problem reported by Thom (Nice build Thom! ), when he said that his kit came with the tailplane assembly badly warped. Just cheking to see if it is a mold problem. Thanks for sharing and keep posting. Claudio
