If you should want to do another A-6 decal sheet.  These are a few of the National Museum of Naval Aviation shot I have.  All total I have a tad over 42,000 shots from the museum.  In addition to my own shots...

Not entirely sure what unit flew A-6A_149948

the rest of the CAMO A-6's are from VA-65 and I believe the Constellation.  They are almost devoid of markings, in the background ate A-4 and RA-5C in similar camo.

The first A-6 is interestingly using a grey for the undersides, I was not aware of that particular combination.

CTA already have a sheet out with a compilation of Connie's camoed planes, including a couple of each airframes for A-1s, A-4s, A-5s, A-6s and F-4s.

Until someone releases a kit or a conversion for the F4H-1/F-110 that would be a very small market.

I have the Cutting Edge kit, and that came with all kinds of markings....

F-110 was but an F-4B with Air Force pylons and small other differences., matter of fact Hasegawa released a box already.

ADFs in Foreign Service. Italy use to operate the type and had a couple specially marked planes. Jordan, Pakistan and Thailand currently have them in service. Pakistan uses a unique camouflage pattern. Jordan's went through the MLU program and can now use Sniper pods and LGBs.

Italy had several specially marked ADFs some flamboyantly, some less gaudy. Hasegawa had a special double boxing issued with really nice (if somewhat thick) decals and also I believe Zotz came out with the Veltro pattern.

We also had ADFs in Texas (not yet a foreign country though), I believe down at Ellington Field, between Houston and Galveston and Hasegawa again issued a very nice double boxing for those.

I still don’t have the decals - Cartograf seems to be taking a bit longer than usual, so I expect to start selling the decals in March.

Italians......Dealing with that for our helicopter as well....

Just a quick search seems to show they're in the Mod Eagle scheme ...

F-15C/D CFTs seem to be appropriate as well ...

    HTHs ...

Those are not Mod Eagle colors, they are standard 36320 over 36375. Mod Eagle is 36176 over 36251 much more distinct. Israeli F-15 did not receive the Mod Eagle scheme.

I think Thunderbirds was fairly nicely done by another company a while ago? I am primarily interested in covering cargo haulers as well as interesting AC-119 with nose art; but I will consider Thunderbirds after I do a bit more research on the subject.

Warbirds Decals Red is suspiciously brownish, and like someone else posted there are no placing guidelines.

You did one for the C-54 which was waaayyyy better...

CD48233 (and CD72155) will have 17 marking options for various test, drone, and evaluation aircraft; including markings for NF-104 and JF-104 aerospace research jets. Some stencilling specific to these aircraft are included, and so are decal representation of various thrust ports etc. on the JF-104 and NF-104s. The set comes with the proven early USAF F-104 stencilling and national insignia that I used earlier in CD48202.

Note that the sheet is missing the GE logo on "Queenie" (55-2969), which was used for GE engine tests for a while. I was not able to obtain a licence for the GE logo despite my attempts. This should not stop the determined modeler from building this option, and the reference Web site will have an image of the appropriate GE logo for informational purposes.

    Yes yes yes!

  8. Something always struck me as odd when looking at an Italeri CH/MH-53E now I can clearly see what it is, it looks like an SUV on a too tall landing gear.

It seems to me as there is too much ground clearance below the belly, that falsifies the ramp angle as well as what the external tanks appear to be like dirigibles.

That is not to detract from a brilliant execution of your build including your correctly folded rotor.

I am almost done with this - should be able to post the final draft in a couple of days. 17 options on this one, covering a variety of subjects: Edwards test jets (both single-seaters and the two F-104Ds), markings for all three NF-104 and specific stencilling (also decals to portray the rocket engine ports on the nose, etc.), NASA JF-104, two China Lake Navy jets.. I think this will sell out fast, judging by how popular the NASA F-104 sheet was (reprint coming in 2024). 1/48 and 1/72 at the same time.

Are there any AFFTC Black chevrons?
