  1. Sorry for the delay but I can send you these two parts from my kit. I’m in the UK. PM me your address and I’ll get them in the post ASAP.
  2. Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me if someone makes one of these in 1/32? I have a link to the Cobham site data sheet to show what I’m looking for. f
  3. Wow, outstanding. I’ve just finished my 1/32 Intruder Tanker conversion, loved the whole build. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235068244-132-trumpeter-intruder-ka-6d-conversion/ A great way to show both models, the basket is just awesome. Well done sir.
  4. The Camo one is a Mk2, a troop carrier for the RAF. The sonar fitted Wessex looked like this. https://nelsam.org.uk/Exhibits/Search/?search=XM833 https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/model/Westland Wessex HAS3 https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234953439-westland-wessex-has3-xm328/
  5. Oliver, I don’t wish to tell anyone how to build their models, you build what you want my friend. I will say though, the sonar set your elegantly building was installed to the Royal Navy Wessex Mk3. The Green Wessex picture with the engines and electrical bay open is a Wessex Mk5 of the Royal Navy, used for troop transport and not with a sonar installed (it’s also missing an engine starter shroud on the nearest engine, just sayin as an ex Navy Wessex Engineer) The last photo you’ve posted is of a Royal Air Force Wessex Mk2 of 72 Squadron, again it never had the sonar installed.
  6. A loss to the aftermarket but this is a hobby and family should alway’s come first. I have enjoyed using your resin to convert the models I’ve built, great subjects. Thanks for your contribution to this hobby of ours.
  7. Still waiting for the Wessex 3 to appear.
  8. Hi Darren, Yes I did. I wanted to do something a little different from a bombed-up Intruder so your set provided me with the opportunity. I am using the Avionix cockpit with your panel’s, the decal sheet from AOA 32-023 and I plan to change the centre line tank with the deployable basket tank from SAC. Thanks to all who answered my question, I know you guys know your stuff. Cheers Ian.
  9. Hi, I’m building the 1/32 Intruder and am making a KA-6E of VA-65 embarked on US Independence 1974/75. My question is, did the Intruder have the strip Formation lights fitted, as depicted on the Trumpeter kit? I’m seeing conflicting pictures on the web and would like to make sure I’m getting the correct era aircraft. Thanks in advance. Ian.
  10. Great news Jake, this will mean I can do my Trumpy Harrier justice as a GR9 in Afghan.
  11. My book came this morning, carefully packaged and in pristine condition, with the decals I also ordered. Sat down with a coffee an thumbed through the latest publication. I have to say it’s excellent, better than excellent, makes me want to build both of my 1/48 Kinetic kits and scratch a conversion for the Trumpy 1/32. A hearty congratulations to you Jake, you’ve smashed it yet again. It makes me want your next title, the Harrier even more. Will you stick to the US versions or add the Royal Navy’s FRS 1 and FA2? I see a guy in the States has a flying Royal
  12. Waiting for mine to cross the pond and arrive on these English shores.
  13. Marine one all day long, although the Iwo Jima Tail looks eye catching. Hope the new kit will be better then the Italeri one though?
  14. Three Squadrons operated Wessex V’s during the Falklands conflict, 845 Naval Air Squadron (NAS), 847 NAS and 848 NAS. 847 and 848 drew their helicopters from second line squadrons like 707 NAS, 771 NAS, 772 NAS and the Naval Storage unit. 845 NAS already operated frontline Wessex V helicopters. I can only really speak for 847 NAS as I was an engineer on the squadron at the time, we had a mix of aircraft with and without Royal Navy on the tail boom, predominantly though without. This was because during the hurried mobilisation of the U.K. armed forces the re-painting of the aircraft
  15. I think Winnie we have to look past his technical aircraft talk and focus on the kit, we can all see the standard of what’s being offered and I think we all agree it’s a step forward from the academy offerings. I do hear you though, reviewers calling yaw pedals rudder pedals on helicopters, turbine blades down intakes etc make my teeth itch but not everyone in our hobby is entrenched in aviation, be it a driver or spanner. Happy modeling one and all.
  16. Looks really great Perry, I’m sure it will be very well received by your son-in-law. Its to a great lump even in 1/48th. Well done sir.
  17. Hi David, https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235052125-small-sale-few-more-added-213/ this has has just popped up on Britmodeller, if you have a problem with him posting to the US let me know and I’m sure we can sort it out.
  18. Thats how I feel, take my money, take it all.👍
  19. WOW, it’s made it’s way to the UK and it’s amazing. An online review of the staggering model is now out. Go to Phil Flory on YouTube. Great work by Kittyhawk and Floyd Werner.
  20. Sorry for the absence from the forum, well contributing anyway. I've watched Lupusprimus build, finish and display his S-64F and have been inspired to get on with mine. So here are a few more photos of how its all being progressed in a little shed in the far west of England. After the final mask had been completed I set about making all the airframe strengthening plates, lumps and bumps on the forward cockpit area. Once this process was complete to my satisfaction I moved onto recalling the rivets, as done on the aft fuselage. Thi
  21. Seems like an age since I posted something but I have spent a long time cutting, trimming and fitting the glazing to the cockpit areas. I'll let the pictures show you my progress. And the important masking that followed. With the side bubble windows now on she's been put to one side to dry. Tomorrow, if all is well, I plan to start blending the edges and may be a fine coat of primer?
  22. A massive step in the right direction from my point of view, B or an F I’m happy. If you want to make my day then the USCG machine would make me smile all year. Well done to Kittyhawk, my pennies are already yours.
  23. Now that’s what I call a reference document, many thanks Tank, you’ve answered so many questions in just one post. Cheers.
  24. Hi guys, me again. Can you confirm the colour scheme for the three aircraft at Cherry Point? I’ve got an old Helibourne book with the scheme being quoted as dark Blue and International Orange. I see you guys think it’s more dark Gray than Dark Sea Blue. FS numbers would be ideal. Help always appreciated.
