And Jerry knows that's for sure. Ken
  2. Sure sounds like the PM Helldiver. On an interesting note at one of our club displays about 5 years ago (IPMS Winnipeg) one of the fellows brought out his PM Helldiver, and along comes this woman in her 70's and asks if that is a Helldiver of course the reply is yes, and the she tells us that she used to build them at Canadian Car and Foundry in Thunderbay Ontario during WWII, a real life "Rosie the Riviter". To top it all off the History Channel in Canada did a 1 hour special on the women who worked at CC&F during the war. Ken
  3. I had an Aztec and I did some fabulous models with it, the only complaints I had about the brush was that the nozzles were harder to clean and seemed to wear out quicker than an all metal brush. The other big problem I felt was that the action was too spongy, when doing delicate work I was never quite sure when the paint was going to come out. I have since moved on to an Iwata HP-B and never regreted it. Ken
  4. I have the Iwata HP-B the nozzle is the .02 version and I do 1/48, this brush or the HP-B Plus would be perfect for 1/72. Don' t be off put or fooled by what seems to be a small paint cup on the B series it's plenty large enough because the Iwata atomizes paint paint so well you don't need to use much, and the small cup makes looking around it easier. Is it too much brush? ......No everybody I know including myself that have gone from a middle of the road brush to a really good artists brush never regreted it and wished they had done it sooner. As far as getting good at it it just takes pract
  5. Probably because it's quite a bit easier to get Paasche, Badger and Iwata over on this side of the pond. I'm going to go over to Art-Topia and see whether they carry Harder & Steenbeck, but from their site, the only place that I know of that's even close to my side of the pond is Tokyo. Well, others from outside of Europe ordered from www.obeeliks.com Jan, the owner is a friendly guy Carbine got HIS within three days from Belgium to Canada. Plus: the Euro price is higher, so Jan reduces the price for you guys by leaving away the Value Added Tax. István People stick with airbru

Okay, this drives me nuts every time I see photos like this, I wish decal companies would do some of these birds they are so interesting. Okay reality check, I know bombers don't sell as well as fighters and fewer are built but boy would one of those really stand out in a sea of "seen it before". Ken

The D-9 came online too late to see any action on the Italian front so you're out of luck there. Ken

  11. Out here on the Prairies it's just the jugs and the wax cartons no bags except for the institutional 20L. Ken
  12. Aeromaster was basically Pollyscale paint. When I ran out of Aeromaster RLM21, I purchased Pollyscale Reefer White, seems as good. MikeJ Aeromaster was the best but I'm down to 2 bottles, now I've gone to the Floquil Reefer White Enamel it is very very good because I do a lot of stuff with invasion stripes, I like the enamel better than the acrylic as far as the Floquil gones. Ken I have 300 bottles of paint and I'm always out of the one I need.
  13. Thanks for the heads up but, what is the product number on the roll of tape? Because do you guy's have any idea how many different kinds of masking tape 3M makes? well it's a LOT and not everything is carried everywhere but with a product number it can be easier to find or be ordered. Ken
  14. Thanks for the compliment Animal, actually it's the D1H it'll shoot up to 40 frames before the buffer kicks in, and with the fast cards now in about 2 seconds you can rip off another 40 perfect for airshows, and built like a tank. The Speakeasy photo session will be soon. Ken ;)
