  1. Hi Guys, Sorry to sound like an FNG, but how do I PM another member. GT Resin is making a set of F-4J exhaust nozzles and he mentioned to PM him to order. If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Brad
  2. Hey Everyone, Getting ready to start a project and need some input.....what's the best aftermarket F-4J ejection seat out there? 1/48 Scale!
  3. Hey Swimmer, I'm building this kit and using the exact aftermarket you're using, plus some additional stuff. Having a great time on the build but it's over on Z5. I'm having a great time building the kit and it goes together very well, but you do have to take you're time with the intakes and dry fit them before gluing them in place, making sure that the two halfs of the intake tubes on the inside come together as there is a single tube that connects to the two halfs and if they're off, it's a bear to fix!
  4. Hi, I purchased your decal sheet CD48060 for F-106's and I have a question regarding the placement for S16, S17 and S18. There are no call outs for these decals on the placement guide. If you can let me know where they go I would appreciate it! By the way......the decals are excellent. I'm doing the option for the Montana Air Guard. Thanks
  5. I've built both kits and I think that the Hase kit is by far the best one out there! Just my opinion!
  6. Sorry Darin, I meant to say B Model! Looking forward to the set.....consider 1 sold!
  7. Hey Darin, Do you know when it will arrive at Sprue Bros? I've been waiting for a D conversion and don't want to miss the first shot!
  8. Just ordered mine Jake.....can't wait for it to ship!
  9. That's awesome Jake.....I'm not going to miss this one! I have an extra copy of the first edition Modern Eagle guide and I thought I had a trade working for a copy of the first Modern Hog Guide but it fell through! So really looking forward to this one!
  10. Keep checking back, they do a great job of updating and restocking!
  11. I ordered mine direct from X-Molds and I used Pay Pal and didn't have any issues. They shipped quickly and it arrived in less than two weeks.
  12. Hey Matt, I'm in the process of building the Trumpeter F-106 right now, and I can tell you that, in my humble opinion, the Trumpy kit is my pick over the older Monogram kit. But the Trumpy kit isn't with out issues....the intakes are way off, but there is a resin fix for the problem by X-mold. It's building into a great looking kit! Hope that helps! Brad
  13. Hey Skyhawk, The exhaust is a really nice piece. I found on the Trump kit that it was very hard to get rid of the seams on the exhaust because it's two piece design, and the Wolfpack replacement takes care of that issue. The one drawback is that is it a very large piece of resin and it only being held in by 4 pins, so as soon as I installed mine, I reinforced it with some Evergreen plastic strips and 5 ton epoxy to make sure that it didn't break free!
  14. Hey dehowie, The company that I mentioned in a post above, xmold-modeling.com is a Russian company if I remember correctly, from St Petersburg.
  15. Hey Brad, I was very worried about my Six Shooter being a tail setter because of all the resin I had going into this model......I'm also using the Wolfpack exhaust for this kit and it's a lot of weight in the tail......soooooo while I was pouring some resin for another project, I filled the nose cone up to add some weight forward. Brad
  16. Hey Brad, They can be found at: xmold-modeling.com I wouldn't exactly call them a perfect "drop in fit", but they are pretty close and they really do fix a big deficit in the kit. Go check out their web site. They look like they are 3D printed, which is a little different material than the normal resin that you're used to but the really look good compared to the kit intakes. Let me know what you think. Brad
  17. I knew about intake issues when I started mine and thought about grafting a set on Monogram 106 intakes to the Trumpy kit, but then ran across a set of resin intakes and went that route, because the resin replacements had full trunking! I hadn't heard about the canopy, but I can tell you they are the thinnest and clearest clear plastic pieces that I've worked with on a kit! It's been a great kit to build so far!
  18. Hey Jake, will you give us a crainal up when you turn on the pre order? Thanks Brad
  19. Hi Brad, You do have to remove the pour block on the bottom, because fit and clearance is critical with the nose gear wheel well. I left some of the pour block on the rear shelf of the cockpit for support. You will have to remove all of the detail that's on the side walls of the fuselage to install the resin side walls, as well as the rear shelf detail so the resin will fit. I think I've got some pictures that I can post if that will help, let me know. Brad
  20. Hey Brad, I am in the process of building "Six Shooter" and I am using the Aries pit and wheel wells both in the Trumpter 1/48 106 kit. The wheel wells fit very well and so does the pit. Where you have to be careful is making sure that the floor of the pit clears the nose wheel well. So take time to test fit after you sand and you should be OK. The finished cockpit is a great addition to the kit. With any resin product, my best advice is to take your time! Give me a shout if I can help! Brad
