  1. Anybody in a position to help me out with a spare Nose Air Intake Splitter piece for the above-mentioned kit, Part # 13, they'd be willing to move on to a good home ? One from my kit appears to have vanished into an abyss ! Need it to complete the build obviously ! Unless anyone knows if the Pavla detail set for this kit, V72-29, contains one ? That'd be another possibility perhaps ; Thanks & Regards, Hugr1
  2. I'm looking for a missing sprue (B) for this kit please. See the first attachment. Don't know if anyone can help me out with that ? I can reciprocate if need be with a couple of surplus sprues (A & B) which I've got for Smer Kit # 0855 (for Sukhoi Su-17 / 22 M3) or Smer Kit # 0856 (for Sukhoi Su-17 / 22 M4) as I believe they're common to both. See the second attachment. However, please note the starboard side fuselage half (from sprue A) is unfortunately missing as indicated ! Bit of a long shot all round but if anybody's in a position to assist I'd be pleased to h

  4. Thank you for the head's up on these different kits. Will certainly look out for those. I have been looking at the Arma Hobby 1/72nd scale releases too ! Kit # 70042, 70043, 70044 & 70054 respectively. Are you half an hour south on the coast or inland ? Regards, Hugr1
  5. Okay. Thank you for the advice and guidance regarding the 2 kits you've highlighted above. Will check each of those out in a bit more detail. And just to mention I'm in Stonehaven if you know it ? All the best ; Regards, Hugr1
  6. Thank you for this information. Gun harmonisation, yes ! Couldn't bring the correct terminology to mind ! Photograph you provided is also useful as it reminds us the centreline of the gun ports weren't aligned with the centreline of the wing leading edge but are positioned somewhat above. Some models or illustrations don't reflect that arrangement too well in my experience. And just to check if you based in North-East Scotland too if that's alright ? Regards, Hugr1
  7. At first, thanks to everybody whose taken the trouble to provide such a comprehensive response to my query. All very helpful and, certainly, very interesting for me to learn more about this topic. All makes sense ! And where do the muzzles of the four inboard guns sit in relation to the blast port itself ? If I'm leaving the ports open I like to insert a section of tube to represent the muzzle but have never been sure just how close to the port they should be positioned. I have seen a number of cutaway drawings showing the arrangement of the machine gun bays in the
  8. I'm perhaps missing something obvious or well documented here but I'm a little puzzled by sources which give the number of wing mounted machine guns fitted to the Hurricane Mk. IIB aircraft as being either 10 or 12 and certain photographs which I've seen do appear to show one machine gun port faired over as in this case where it's the second innermost one from the inboard group of four guns > Is that because of the underwing external stores pylon, which perhaps blocked the bullet casing and belt linkage ejection chutes or was it simply necessary to save some weight
  9. Hello there. Looking for some help. Friend of mine give me an old kit his father had started to build years back then set aside. He did good job on it and I said I'd try and complete it for him but I've found certain parts are missing. I'm hoping somebody else, perhaps, has semi-built kit they'd be willing to part out or similar. Attachments [see Dropbox hyperlinks] highlight those parts I'm looking for and I trust that's all pretty clear. It's those items that are highlighted in pink colour which I need. https://www.dropbox.com/s/l1jg18c6qu8f6kp/Frog F.172 Avro Shackleton Instruct
  10. Dear Fellow Modeller, I'm missing the complete transparency tree for this kitplus following two items :- Part 4 : Starboard Upper Wing Part 15 : Propeller Assembly If anyone can help me with the above I'd be very much obliged. I'm located in UK. Thanks in advance ; Kind Regards Hugh
  11. Bit of a long shot but somewhere in this big wide world of ours there's possibly another Modeller whose got the aforementioned kit and has or will find they've two "D" sprue trees whilst they're missing the "C" sprue tree http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/Hugr1/WARHAWK1_Page_2.jpg Yep ! You've guessed . . . I've two of latter but not the former, which means the model is definitely a challenge ! Can anyone help if not directly then, perhaps, with an e-mail address or similar for Trumpeter's after sales / customer support department ? Thank you in advance for your co-operation ; Kind R
  12. I only recently came across information about the Heller 1/50nd scale Vautour kit, which must be a fair age I saw a photograph of one boxing of this kit, which doesn't confirm any sub type http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/Hugr1/Heller50Vautour.jpg I saw a photograph of another boxing of this kit where the sub type is given as being the IIN http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/Hugr1/Heller50Vautour1.jpg Does anybody know if they the same or somewhat different one from the other ? What is the significance of the Buzco boxing of this kit ? Does in include any after market correcti
  13. If anyone can provide me with photographs, black & white or colour, of KLu Hawker Hunter T7 with Serial Number N-315 whilst in service in The Netherlands and before the aircraft was returned to the UK and put on display by the Jet Aviation Preservation Group that would be much appreciated Thanks in advance for your interest & co-operation ; Kind Regards Hugh Ramsay
  14. I'd be very interested to have a description of pylon load out configuration illustrated in photograph of Polish MiG-21 BIS # 9483, which you can view using the following hyperlink http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/Hugr1/MiG-219483.jpg Is the external drop tank on central underbelly pylon one of the "big" ones ? Thanks in advance ; Kind Regards Hugh

    J-7 / F-7

I've recently been reading up on the long-running Chinese J-7 / F-7 series of jet fighters and I'm curious to know if there are any kits on the market [any scale] of this specific aircraft or if one must simply adapt kits of the MiG-21 instead Dragon or Trumpeter perhaps ? The development of the design is quite an interesting story and it has spanned such a relatively long period of time as well not forgetting the fact it has generally been the very early MiG-21F-13 airframe, power plant and so on that has been the basis of the Chinese aircraft industries endeavours Owing to the considerab
