  1. Thank you! And thanks for the tip, I'll see what I can do :)

  3. I saw your build at CAPCON, very nice in person; definitely a stand out on the table for me :)
  4. Goodness, love it. What a finish! As for Kinetic instructions, it seems to be their weak point; I've built a few and if I don't study them carefully I'll definitely miss something!
  5. This is fantastic! Love the results for the size.
  6. Thank you for the kind words! Yes, 1/32 is actually a really nice size for this particular aircraft and the Kinetic kit builds into a handsome model. The only areas that I had to pay a little extra attention to were the fit of the wing roots and around the intakes. Otherwise it's quite straight forward and the markings are nicely done. Highly recommend it for a Canadian collection :)
  7. Ah yes, I see. I have the 1/32 Revell kit in my stash, looking forward to building that one for a side by side comparison.
  8. Thank you Craig; and yes I agree, the dark blue and contrasting stencils really make this plane a stand out.
  9. I've seen this build on FB; still gorgeous. I love the distinctive Typhoon.
  10. Really enjoyed building this kit; even with its challenges. It definitely pushed me to improve my filling/blending skills. The kit came with CMK seats when I purchased it. I replaced the exhaust (which came in two halves) with styrene tubing and added FOD covers. The MDC was made from shaped brass wire; no doubt a little thick for the scale but I don't find it takes away from the overall build.
  11. Usually post on FB so I'm very new here. Alf convinced me to get in on this group build so here I am. I'm building something that has been in my stash a while: Kinetic's 1/48 F5B (CF116). Not sure what scheme I want to use yet, there are a few good ones to choose from.
  12. This is so sweet. Definitely need to get one of these kits!
  13. This is great; even better that the overall shape looks like an Aardvark! I love seeing what people can do with old hidden gems.
  14. Well done. I've considered getting this kit as well for a quick build, what are your thoughts on it??
  15. Thank you! And yes, cursed indeed, but still flying. Here's hoping she brings back more pilots safely the rest of her days.
  16. That is too cool. So much history behind these Hornets; I love it :) Thanks for sharing with me!
  17. Thats amazing. Was it on the ground both times? What were the circumstances?
  18. The actual CAF demo Hornet doesn't look like this and is usually re-painted every year with a new theme. I only used the current numerals because they were requested. This build is not meant to depict a demo hornet, but rather a well used one from an operational squadron.
  19. Good day all! I'm new to this forum but I've been modeling since I was a kid and recently picked it up again in the last few years. This is my latest build and it also includes a Tirydium Models light and sound kit. The "761" designation (which is the current CAF demo Hornet) was specifically requested by the client who wanted this Hornet built for his son. If you want to see videos of the light and sound kit you can find it on my FB page here: https://www.facebook.com/wongmodels/ The "FIP" decals are aftermarket from Canuck Models. I finished it with mostly Model Master acrylics and oil wa
