  1. Hi all. My Dad started making up some of these kits for his grandkids. Trouble is; over the years that he started, my big family has kept breeding! So, he's out of stock of these kits and doesn't want to start building something else to save on fights later on own the track. So, he's looking for as may as he can get his hands on. We need to find at least four more and he's willing to pay between $AU20 - $AU40 per kit (not including postage). If anyone out there can spare one or two F3F-3's, my family will be most grateful. Thanks heaps!! :D
  2. Hi all. I'm not sure if this is the right section, please feel free to move it to a more appropriate area if required. I've gotten into Nerf recently by buying a Barricade blaster. I was surfing the net the other day for all things Nerf and came across their Pinpoint Sight. I would love to do this to my Barricade, I already have the butt from a Recon blaster. The problem is, these sights are out of production and there are none forthcoming on ebay. So, if anyone out there has one and they don't want it anymore, I would love to buy it from you. Thanks.
  3. Thanks heaps Reddog, this has been really helpful. I'll probably go with a pair of Shrikes on 2 and 7 and a pair of tanks on 3 and 6 with some Sidewinders on the fuselage. Thanks again!!
  4. Thanks Reddog. The info I can't find is what was carried on what pylon. I'm thinking of making mine with a couple of Sidewinders off the fuselage, then either some Shrikes or Rockeyes or dumb bombs underneath. If I was to hang a GBU underneath, would I then have to include the FLIR pod on the other side, or did this pod just help with navigation? TIA!!
  5. On what stations would these store have been carried? Also, which stations were plumbed for drop tanks? TIA!
  6. If you still have those pictures could I please get a copy of them as well. TIA!
  7. Hi all. I just picked up TwoBob's VA-22 decals for two A-7's on the Big E during 1988. (They look great!! Thanks TwoBob's!!) I'm looking at doing the CO's jet, the three grey's scheme. My question is; what would be a typical load-out for an A-7 during this time-frame? TIA!!
  8. Thanks Larry, I'll do that! I did a search for his site, but google couldn't find it.
  9. Hi all. I went looking for these F-16 stiffner plates to suit the Hasegawa version in 1/48. I can't find them anywhere, so I'm assuming Dave Roof has folded the company? I noticed over at Sprue Brothers they have a few to suit the Tamiya kit. Would these go onto the Hasegawa kit? If they don't, is there anyone out there that has a spare set I could buy/swap from them? I have a few decal sheets that someone might want, or a PayPal account to do business with. TIA!!
  10. Yep, I'm a firefighter based at Williamtown, been here for five years. I really like the area here and I'm reluctant to move on. The only thing that sucks about he job is moving, but that's what you sign up for!!
  11. Thanks for the reply guys. They have been quite helpful and will certainly help other F-111 newbies and buffs alike! I found Ozmods eventually, but it was a bit of a mission! I cracked the stockist's question over at AMI (thanks Nimrod!), but a Google search didn't help at all. I found Ozmod's new url via an ad at Perth Military Modelling. I got a hold of Greg Anderson and he answered all of my questions. Thanks again!!
  12. Just out of Raymond Terrace. Moving next year to Parramatta though. Where about's are you living?
  13. Hi all. I have a question mainly aimed at the Aussie F-111 fans. I was looking at Scaledown's website the other day with a view to ordering a couple of resin kits. I emailed the fellow and have no reply. I was wondering if this site is still valid and if not, is there anyone out there that stocks Scaledown products? I have looked around the web for a stockist, but I can't find anyone that has his stuff. Can anyone help? TIA!!
  14. I'm with drhornii! Some AIM-9 covers would be great!
  15. Hi Mike! thanks for the link and the information. All of it is very helpful and will come in handy to finish off the blades and rotor heads. Thanks again!
  16. If this has been re-tooled to fix up the problems from the original release, then it would be worth buying. But to buy the kit then all the add-ons to make it a decent kit, I may as well buy a 1:1 Prowler. Would probalby be cheaper.... (I'm climbing off it now!!) I could also fly this one around without the Mrs shaking her head at me, plus there's room in the back for the kids!! :) Everyone's a winner!!!!
  17. Speaking of D model Chooks, would anyone out there have Model Alliance's sheet that covers the Afghanistan War? If so would you like to part with the Aussie Chinook markings for a fair price or swap? TIA!!
  18. Hi all. I have a couple of questions that I hope can be accommodated by someone here. My Dad is building a 1/48 Australian Chinook "D" at the moment and I was wondering if someone could help out with some reference photos? What he's after is any markings on the rotor hubs e.g. the different coloured stripes that tell you which part goes where when they're going back together, the same coloured markings on the root of the blade to show which blade goes into which side of the hub, and also any balance stripes that the blades might have on them. I know the Blackhawk has a pair on each blade to sh
  19. This is my method, similar to the box in a box method. My family is signed up to Chrisco which is a payment plan that results in food being delivered to your house at Christmas time. (Great idea!!) All their frozen products come in a foam box which is then encased in a fairly sturdy cardboard box. Their largest freezer box is big enough to transport around six 1/48 scale aircraft models. (My biggest move to date has included a Viking (huge!) and a Buccaneer (also huge!) plus four others in the same box.) So, I get some of those foam peanuts, put a layer down on the bottom, then enough kits to
  20. Even though I'm not a Tomcat fan (Don't shoot or Ban me!!), there's some very impressive work gone into these sheets. BRAVO ZULU!! :)
  21. Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't know that. I was looking at the picture thinking I had a little bit of work to do, but now I don't. Yay!!
  22. Awesome job!! Bit of an odd scheme, but it stands out instead of another all grey or all tan! Looks great!
  23. Awesome pic! Thanks for that, that's exactly what I was after! Love the Fighting Bengals scheme, haven't seen them since they deployed to Townsville, Nth Queensland for Ex Croc '03. Thanks again!
  24. Hi all! I'm replacing the ACMI pod on my 1/48 F-16N with one from Hasegawa's Weapon Set D. The one from the weapons set has some lugs protruding from one side, to me they look like collars that are done up with nuts and bolts. My question is: when they're mounted on a wingtip rail (I'm planning on mounting mine on the starboard wingtip), which way do these fasteners face? Does anyone out there have some good reference pictures? I have googled as well as had a look through the gallery at F-16.net and haven't found anything yet that can really be of any help. TIA!!
