  1. You want a part? I think I have a 1/48 copy from my Academy F-15E kit. Yours for the asking.
  2. If you want an amazing model, just build Tamiya's P-47. It is perhaps their best. Of course, also note that anything by Accurate Miniatures will have a similar great fit.
  3. Ok, so where do we get Lau-115's and -127's? (1/48) Also, is it the same setup for a SuperHornet?

Don't see one here. In the front, there's on e between the gun doors, but not elsewhere Here's one in service....Slow bandwidth server, so it may take time to load:
  5. I have a spare ASAT from my Academy Beagle...Yours for the asking
  6. Don't worry Iron Eagle...Engineers DO have lives. You've just got to get past school...the job is GREAT.
  7. Hey Darren, how about doing MER's as your next offering? I'm always needing them, and I don't want to spring for a whole weapons set just for those!
  8. Aeromaster have also done them for the E Superscale also has it for the E, it's sheet 48-1046 At Squadron
  9. I scratch built a cockpit. The seat, stick and some of the sidewall detail came from my Monogram f9f, modified to fit. The panel isn't glued in yet, so it's a bit out of position. I made it from a photo I found of an F8U-1, touched up in photo-paint, and printed on photo paper. The front gages on the side panels are also printed on photopaper. The paper is thick enough to provide the height needed for the gage faces. Looked much better than I thought it would. The only thing I don't like is that the picture I based the IP on had the artificial horizon showing a left banking dive, and I
  10. What's the visual difference between an RF-4C and a -4B?
  11. This should get pinned to the F-15 GB
  12. I'm building the (awful) Lindberg kit of the early F-8 as a VF-84 bird. This kit has almost no cockpit, and absolutely no wheel bays. Thanks to Dimosthenis, I have his old Hasegawa rear bays. They needed extending a bit to fit in the larger opening of the Lindberg kit. I'm scratch building the front gear bay. I may just leave the cockpit alone. I'll keep this thread updated as my in-progress thread.
  13. OK, here is a link to the spreadsheet I made with JR decal info....It's a huge file, so it'll take a bit to download, even at high speed. Let me know if I missed something.. Here It Is
  14. This is just my cup of tea.... As a start, I will offer up my spreadsheet on JR markings over time....The decals are listed for 1/48, as I don't build 1/72. Many of the pics come from Almansur's website, or pirated elsewhere. Please respect the copyright and don't do anything nefarious with the pictures... Hmmm...trouble linking to the file...wait a few....
  15. I guess I'll chime in here....I've ordered from GMW, paid with a credit card, and then not received items that were "in-stock" because my order got held up waiting for something, and the in-stock thing got sent to someone else (I checked up on them and verified that's what happened). Then, they later sent me the item, and charged shipping a second time. They blow, simple as that. I've switched to Sprue Bros.
  16. I have succeeded in moving my A-7 and F-8 from the storage area to the build area. Not QUITE as much progress as you....
  17. You guys still doin the VFA-27 for sure? I saw Aeromaster just released these decals and Superscale has them too.... I hope that doesn't stop you...(I want yours!)
  18. That turned out very nice....Love those markings
  19. Thanks for the kind words. Yes, the E is the City of Homestead (decals come in the Revell Pro Modeler box)
  20. Well kids, I did it. I finished both of my birds. The first on is the Pro-Modeler E with the kit decals. They were actuall pretty good. Second on deck is my 1/48 Monogram J with Eagle Strike decals for VMFA-115. Full set of stencils from Aeromaster. Decided this one would be clean since it was a show-bird. Sorry I didn't post more in progress pics, but I got busy moving across country. Barely found time to bring these in. I now know every one of the four thousand places not to step or push on a phantom!
  21. I've got a couple of sets of open canopies. Free! If you need them, PM me.
  22. I did mine with the Twobobs set. Every reference I looked at looked just like the Twobobs decals. But then again, I ALWAYS like Twobobs decals!
  23. Need a set of wheel wells....I'll be building the ancient Linberg F-8 as punishment. It has NO gear bay of any type, so if any of you are using a resin set, would you be willing to sell or trade your kit wheel wells? If you had an intake trunk, gear or wheels as well...that'd be a super bonus! e-mail kozlok@charter.net if you can help
