This is great, it looks like they finally started adding tail art to the operational aircraft. I will put this sheet on the front burner and assign a product number soon.

Great to hear! Now I can order a kit knowing that there will be something good to put on it.

  2. Reviving this old thread. I have both ICM 1/48 and 1/72 OV-10 kits and want to do a USAF plane. These kits do not include the USAF 230-gal tank either. Does anyone make these in either scale. I know Jim mention the old Paragon conversion had one, but I don't know if these have been done by anyone else, that would be available. If not, maybe we can get someone like Phase Hanger to do them in 48th or Air-Graphics in 72.

    Thanks,

Unfortunately, I sold my house and moved into a townhouse with no room to cast. So, Steel Beach is no more. I really wish someone would make a 3D printed set. That would be great.

Thanks for the update Darren. I knew you had not put out anything new, but couldn't remember if you were busy with school and such. Hope you are still finding time to build though.

  4. The nice thing I find with them from a modeling perspective is that they a easier and go together quick. I usually don't get much modeling done in the summer months and when winter comes and I have time and it usually takes a bit to get my modeling mojo back up and running, a drone is a nice way to get back into it. They are quick and in a weekend or two you have a finished kit and ready to go on a bigger project.

  5. I too prefer to use my reference books while building. I usually grab my topic specific ones when I'm working and use those more than the internet. I like to go back through these older titles and look for aircraft I haven't seen in awhile. I hadn't gone back through some of these older Osprey titles in a bit and forgot how nice they are. Even just some of the old non-specific aircraft books from the 80's and 90's and how nice it is to see some of these lesser publicized aircraft.

  6. So a few weeks back I pulled some old copies of some of these titles out and was looking through them again. I forgot how nice these books were and some of the excellent photos inside. It was a time capsule for seeing some of these retired planes or just older paint jobs and squadrons that are gone now. I was looking to see if I had any with Canadian CF-5's since I was thinking of starting on one. I didn't have the book that was about Cold Lake so I looked on eBay and found this one along with some of the older titles and some of them were only a few bucks. I picked up a few and just wanted to revisit how nice it is to go back through some of these old books and find things and pictures I had forgotten about.

Anyone else ever go back through any of your old book stash and run into something you forgot about or that inspired you to build something because of what you read or saw? It is easy to do searches online for things we are looking for, but it's amazing sometime what you find going back through the book stash sometimes.

  7. Hey all, I just got the 1/48 Black Dog kit for the TB2...as a side question, does Black Dog have instruction somewhere online? I've got other sets from them and never have I seen instructions or parts breakdown. I can probably figure it out, but was just wondering.

My real question is about the actual drones. I will probably make a Ukrainian one, but was also thinking of doing an Azerbaijian one. My question is if anyone knows if there is different engine variants? It's hard to find pictures of an Azerbaijian one during the war with Armenia, but the pictures I have found show then with a three bladed prop. Where as the Ukrainian ones have a two bladed prop. I was trying to figure out if it's just the props that are different or if there is more too it.

    Thanks for any assistance.
