Revell 1/32 F-4 cockpit question
CW4 Erick Swanberg replied to CW4 Erick Swanberg's topic in Jet Modeling
The Tamiya cockpit is a little long by a few MM's but got it figured out. I'll be using the Tamiya front end and will scratch build the back half using the Revell bulkhead and then be able to fix the depth issue and then scratch built the side consoles. Thanks for the info guys -
What is the consensus about the cockpit? I have a Tamiya cockpit that I am planning on using but it is about 2-3mm longer than the Revell and I have heard depth issues of the rear tub of the Revell? Thoughts? Got a build in the early stages and would like some input before I make my final choice of tubs. Either way I am planning alot of scratch building for this cockpit so fire away. Did anything happen to Zone Five?
CW4 Erick Swanberg replied to Just4kiks's topic in General Discussion
nope still there -
Hey guys in the Ft Rucker area, I am wanting to see if there is an interest in starting a model club that covers this area and maybe an area surrounding like up to Benning and maybe down to Eglin/Tyndall that may be to far. I know there are several modelers here but if we can drum up interest maybe we can get an IPMS affiliation and start something here. I know most of us work during the week so maybe a Saturday morning thing or open to ideas. I think this area needs a good club to promote Ft Rucker and long term maybe a contest held at the museum or on Ft Rucker. Just some thoughts Erick

Trumpeter 32nd A-6A Flight Of The Intruder
CW4 Erick Swanberg replied to CW4 Erick Swanberg's topic in The Display Case
Thanks guys it was a great kit to build one of the best so far by Trumpeter. The decals were custom made by a guy over at LSP if you go to the forums look under the in progress for this build his name is petrov27 he has several squadrons custom made already and he is very reasonable for price. -
Trump kit went together easy best kit so far by them. MM, Tamiya, and Floquil paints. Coolhand and Cole from Academy with Resin heads. Rockeyes from Tamiya F-15E, Snakeyes from kit.

Review of Black Ops MH-6M update set
CW4 Erick Swanberg replied to CW4 Erick Swanberg's topic in Helicopter Modeling
haha yeah I just saw it great minds think alike -
Well done Gino, looks sharp, yes you can wear the shield and still fly with goggles you just don't have the visor down. Weathering and paint is spot on. I did see the wirestrike on the bottom of the main gear is on backwards though. Great build I need to get off my butt and do a 60 here soon. Erick

Just got this set in the mail from the guys at Black Ops in Australia, the link for the build is here http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=44439. I received the box and immediately was impressed with Black Ops by how it was packaged. It is a sturdy cardboard box and all the resin parts are separated into their own Ziploc bags and then packing peanuts provide an additional cushion. Because of the excellent packaging, out of all of the parts, I only had two that were broken and those are an easy fix. The instructions are to me what is the main focal point of the set. They h
