No all doors and windows closed during refueling in case of fire. There can be but the carousel takes up alot of space that is whey we took them out in Afghanistan and also to save weight. Most medics had large bags full of med gear.

And there wouldnt be patients in the back during refueling either

UH-60's in OIF 1 and OEF 1 carried M-60's mounted in Crewchief windows,one chaff bucket on left side no CMWS only APR-39 antennas on nose and tail under stabilator.
