Sjo!!! If you are South African, you will know what that means.

Let me rephrase, Are we starting to see the end of Tamiya as far as aircraft goes, in 1/32 scale?

Serious quality issue at SHAPEWAYS, FED & FUD plastics

TL/DNR..... You seem to have some serious issues. Let me give you a tip. If you want people on a forum to read your posts, make it short. Take it from there then. As for this thread as it stands, dont care. -

That has killed a LOT of deals for me. Shipping to South Africa is crazy expensive.

Seems to be the going rate. Its AUD 21 at BNA model world, which translates to about ZAR 215. Nothing wrong with that. https://www.bnamodelworld.com/model-planes-airfix-models-ax02106-1:72-de-havilland-tiger-moth

Come on Tamiya, make a 1/24 of this. Who could afford it though?

Tamiya Light Grey panel line wash.

Only saw this now. Thanks a million for sharing.

Airfix will never venture into 1/32 though.

That is horrific, wish there was sound.

I always give the plastic a wash in mild detergent before building. I only use Tamiya spray cans, and have never had a problem.
-
Man, that's hectic. All the best and please post your build here.

I built this same scheme, and the best fit I found was Tamiya's Nato Black, with some shading/fading on some panels. I created some contrast with pure matt black for the props etc.
-
Quite a number of videos on Youtube that shows you how to do it.

Too expensive, I will rather get the HKM one, but even that is stretching my budget to the extreme.

Tim, that red disc looks like a dust plug, for when you remove the connector valve from the regulator. We have similar on some of our scuba tanks. when they go into storage. Of course, I might be making a total idiot of myself.
-
Exactly this. And when the final coat is dry, it takes very well to a polish if you want a higher gloss.
-
I have never had issue with the Tamiya eating decals. The key is several light coats. Dont go in heavy.

Tamiya.

I prefer the J with the front turret. At that price, might get both.
