  1. They haven't even negotiated the contract for the new aircraft yet. All they've done is announce that it *will* be the 747-8. The hardware is still years away.
  2. Knowing whose decal it is would be helpful.
  3. I got your message, but ARC says "You cannot reply". The answer to your question is, no, I don't have it.
  4. I don't think it's quite that simple. Paint manufacturing formulas specify precise quantities of various pigments to arrive at a paint that matches a standard. It's not just "black" and "white". Regarding model paint, don't over-think it. Just about every model paint line out there has NG 43 in it. The color (in real life) is considerably darker than a lot of modelers seem to think it is. I've seen B-17 models with what looked like Light Ghost Gray on the belly. Actual NG 43 is pretty dark.
  5. Try finding an F-111A
  6. All of the non-Soviet WARPAC MiG-29s were 9-12s. No 9-13s existed at the time most of those exports took place in the late 1980s and very early 1990s.
  7. If you don't have any, they're very hard to find and very pricey when you do. I had like six of them before my house fire. Haven't replaced any of them.
  8. It's Paul Fisher (i.e.: about as perfectly as it's possible to fit). Unfortunately MC copied the inaccurate AMT/Ertl CFM engine nacelles. Compare AMT's to Airfix/Heller's to see what I mean. I believe Paul Fisher is working (or will be working) on better CFMs to go with his TF33s and J57s.
  9. All of the Warsaw Pact MiG-29s (other than the USSR) were 9-12
  10. Man I wish they'd reissue that whole line!
  11. Just discovered that the Academy 1/48 Hunter FGA.9 has triple rockets like these. Anyone have those to spare by chance?? Thanks!
  12. Has any kit ever had these tandem mounted rockets in 1/48 scale?? I need 12 sets of them!
  13. I would have to agree - Czechoslovak airplanes need very representative Czechoslovak markings!
  14. Fantastic job Ken. Clearly designed by the Peoples' First Commissariat of functionally hideously ugly aircraft production.
  15. Hint: there are no 'barriers' to discovering this information :)
  16. If you want to see how a Radial engine works, take a look. His is the best explanation on how a 9-cylinder radial engine works and functions I've ever seen. Part 1 Part 2
  17. One would have had to assume the intakes would be different, since the intakes on the real F-111A and F were different.
  18. Like when you take your car out on the highway and open her up to "blow the carbon out"?? :)

    HK B-17F

There is no date fixed yet. Decals have yet to be designed, and once that's done it will take at least several weeks to get them printed and shipped to HK. Looking at at least mid-summer or later at the earliest. Latest word (directly from HK) is that the box will contain parts for the E and two variations (nose armament) of the F all in one.
  20. It's been a very long time since I looked at one of the Hasegawa kits, but I'm pretty sure the EF-111A has a completely new lower fuselage with the "H" shaped reinforcements for the blade antennas just behind the intakes, and the avionics cooling slots just ahead of the stabilators. That memory may be wrong, but I seem to recall that being different.
  21. 2016 has been a cruel year for entertainers thus far...
  22. You can mix and match parts from the Hasegawa kits. Their F-111A is notoriously hard to find, but you can find the EF-111A fairly easily. You can combine its intakes with the rest of the F-111D/F or E kits to get most of the way to an A. Why they've never reissued those kits is beyond my understanding.
