  1. The above statement is not correct: the Aeroclub props are the same as used on the C-121A. You can check this if you look at pictures of N494TW (the "MATS Connie flown in the airshow circuit untill it went to Korea). They are the Curtiss Electric props used and they worked fine. The C-69 used different props.
  2. Did you check Welsh models http://www.welshmodels.co.uk/Skyliner.html ? They have nice 1/144 vacuform models. Succes Henk
  3. Are you going to use this conversionset? http://www.modellbau-kappner.de/html/airline_1_72.html
  4. Hi Michiel, To ask a few of your questions: 2 Aiming is by the whole aircraft. 3 No counterbalance was needed for the ALQ Good luck building Regards Henk "Glider" de Waard F-16A ( R) driver with 306 untill 1988
  5. The second figure stands for the original powerplant installed. The third figure stands for the original interior configuration. 82 stands for Wright 972TC18-DA3 used on the 1049E/G/H models. 110 stands for transport overland 72 passengers including 4 in lounge, later changed to 70 passengers and 6 crew, used on the 1049E/G models for Trans World and Hughes. 114 stands for passenger overland/overwater 71 passengers on the 1049G for Trans World. Hopes this helps. Cheers Henk
  6. Heller did not release a L1649. This version is the so called Starliner with complete different wings. I was also never used by the US Navy. So Heller only released the C121, L749 short fuselage short nose, the 1049 with short and long nose and the Warning Star. Henk
  7. It is not exclusive for the 049. It is common, maybe even to every Connie. The Connie's I flew (MATS and Aviodome) had it, as well as other Connie's I have seen.
  8. The hatch is the entrance to the aft cargo hold.
  9. You can find them on Ebay quite often or check http://www.lhshop.nl/ Good luck Henk
