  1. Hello On the Kinetic facebook page, Raymond Chung just announced a new early Fighting Falcon kit in 1:48! What a nice choice! https://www.facebook.com/Kineticmodel/ Hopefully, the long awaited Mirage F.1 will follow soon.
  2. I am not sure, but think that this option is given in the kit. A nice detail is the reinforcement strap on the belly, which other kits are missing. After looking closely to the wingtip RHAW antennaes, I must give phantomfixer right, those look off.
  3. The A-10 on this picture reveals another interesting fact I discovered first during a visit at RAF Bentwaters in 1986. Some of the 81. TFW planes had a fourth colour in the camouflage scheme. You see the very dark green on the wings and engine cowl? But we can go deeper in this after the release of the Academy and GWH Thunderbolt kits become closer.
  4. Yes, it is. The 630 has black triangles and seems to have no yellow spots on the wing, thus black honeycombs.
  5. Thank you very much for the picture. Yes, the SP bird has red triangles and blck honeycombs, while the AR „Starize“ has yellow ones. Interesting!
  6. All those glitches may be the case with the Zoukei-Mura F-4G and aditionally, the ALQ-131 is looking much too small. 52nd TFW only had the "fat" version in use on the F-4G and -E. But to my eyes, the main errors of the Hasegawa outweighs those in form of a too bulbous looking forward fuselage and too pointy 370gal. underwing fuel tanks. Another question is about the honeycombed NO STEP and NO PUSH markings on the top side of the wings. I saw a lot of Spangdahlem European One painted F-4Gs that time, but it is now more than 35 years ago and to my memory theses were yellow when the a
  7. Peter Zafir now has released his Youtube video about the Mosonshow 2022. It is a three hours lasting video and the most comprehensive and detailed report of this excellent show. He shows virtually every model on the contest tables and stops at the most models for a few seconds showing some interesting details. Nice!
  8. As stated before, almost everything scale modelling related can be found at Mosonshow. I was fully surprised finding the Vespa Models Su-22M-3 conversion kit in 1:48 there, which I could´t resist to buy.
  9. Do it, you will like the show very much!
  10. Hello Gabor, hello all other guys here at ARC A few mintes ago, I returned from the Moson Show 2022 and this was my most crazy trip to a modelling show ever! On Thusday morning, I informed Peter Z., my German speaking POC at Mosonshow, that I have to cancel my participation together with the one from my friend Pascal due to health issues from my mother and Pascal, who felt weak from a non-Covid infection a couple of days prior to the show. Normally, we wanted to start our 1000km (one way) trip on early Friday morning, but instead, I should transport my mother to hospital. Already a
  11. MBK Modellbau König has some on stock https://www.modellbau-koenig.de/Flugzeuge/Flugzeuge-1-48/Moderne-Flugzeuge-ab-1945-1-48/Warschauer-Pakt-Russland-Flugzeuge-ab-1945-1-48/Su-27-Flanker-B-Heavy-Fighter
  12. Just found this interesting picture at www with two captive AGM-45.
  13. As one of the very few Spangdahlem aviation spotters of the second half of the 80's (fence guests normally were sent away from the base Security Forces or German Polizei and Spangdahlem and Bitburg), I can tell you, that the captive ordnance shown on the above official USAFE pictures is only posed for propaganda purposes and have nothing to do with the daily training routine at the 52nd TFW of this time. The every day loadout of a Spangdahlem F-4 was an AN/ALQ-131 on station 4, two underwing 370gal. fuel tanks on 1 and 9 and a 600gal. F-15 style centerline fuel tank on 5. The origi
  14. If the model is becoming good or even greater is primarily laying in the hand of the modeller. The numer of parts is not the most prominent indication if the model is becoming great or not. If the kit detail is not going far enough, simply help yourself with the aftermarket or scratchbuilding. By the way, creativity is one fascinating aspect of this hobby.
  15. The GWH kits are among the very best you can get. To me, these are almost on par with Tamiya. Minibase has only released one kit, yes it represents may be the benchmark for 1:48 jet kits indeed. If this meticulously researched kit will be followed by more from this manufacturer, only time will tell after it has been proved to be an economic success or failure. But to me, this diminishes the outstanding qualities of GWH kits in no way. There are a plethora of aftermarket sets available for those, who want to go far into detail. A bit of own scratchbuilding does the rest.
  16. In the past, I have build two GWH MiG-29 and one F-15C and those are among my most enjoyable builts ever! Hopefully, GWH will continue the 1:48 kit series with other aircraft types in the future. However, I don' t want to open a wishlist debate here.
  17. As with the Su-27UB, this kit is looking very nice, too. I will get at least one! 👍
  18. Nice choice by Kinetic! Hope for Portugese AF decals as well!
  19. To my opinion, the G91 is a popular subject, at least in Europe. The modeller can choose between a couple of versions (hopefully a two seater will come out, too), many camouflage and marking options, some with large dayglow patterns and flamboyant anniversary schemes. Instantly, I am thinking of these nice Portugese AF tiger schemes .... Furthermore, the Frecce Tricolori has flown the G91PAN throughout many airshow seasons. For me, I will buy at least a couple of kits, if the G91 really is the next subject from Kinetic.
  20. Sooner or later, I think Kinetic will go forward with the Mirage F.1 kit. The plane has some complicated shapes, an intricate landing gear and it requires a lot of research to capture the many details of the different versions correctly. So, a serious attempt in a nice Mirage F.1 kit requires some time and I am quite sure, that Kinetic will not miss the opportunity to release such a popular subject. I bet, it comes by the end of this year
  21. Renaissance from France offers a very extensive correction set for the elderly ESCI/ Italeri kit. https://www.scalemates.com/de/kits/renaissance-48049-amd-ba-mirage-f1-1-48--725586
  22. Hello Marc Mr. Hobby Leveling or AK Real Color thinner does work well, too. However, the Leveling stinks more. The Elita almost is odor free. I have used the Elita (satin colours) on my Wingman Alpha Jet and mixes of glossy Elita paints on my current project, an Eduard NVA MiG-21M. I am very satisfied with the results.
  23. Look here https://shop.elita.de/epages/ElitaModelleShop.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/ElitaModelleShop/Categories/Modellbaufarben/"Modellbaufarben RAL"/"Farben RAL glänzend"
  24. Sorry, these colours seem not being available from Mr. Color. For RAL colours, Elita Lifecolours from Germany is a safe bet. These high quality paints are low odor lacquers and with their own thinner, the airbrushing behavior is like MRP! I prefer their gloss paints, those are decal ready and offer even slightly better airbrushing properties compared with the Elita Satin paints.
  25. A couple of weeks ago I got the BAM Rafale Intakes and the Rafale correction set from the 48ers, both are very nice. I can recommend BAM products, which can be bought with confidence. I am now looking forward to the 1:32 Mirage 2000 intakes. Beside this, can you measure please the length of the forward canopy at the museum, which is supposed to be too long in the M2000C kit. In the later released M2000D/N kit from Kitty Hawk, the forward canopy apparently is corrected while it is considerably shorter. Is a corrected forward canopy for the M2000C a possible future corre
