Leeming/Middleton/Thornaby circa 1956 to go on the club stand at Telford, loads of conflicting info on the colour used on these aircraft. Can anybody identify the colour for me. I know its not "Roundel Blue" my thoughts are "Royal" or "Oxford" or is it something the R.A.F. are famous for, mix it yourself?!!!! All help gratefully received, :blink: Phoenix

Hi all, you might want to try tyre weights. Next time you or your Dad go into a tyre fitting bay have a word, they have 55 gallon drums full! If you get really lucky you may get some of the self adhesive ones, and these don't need cleaning off. **********************HEALTH WARNING************************************************* ALL brake discs/shoes STILL contain asbestos, better safe than sorry good scrub with an old brush, OUTSIDE! Hi Blue boy, only thing that comes to mind is the hot water trick, stick the warped part in a bowl of hot water, then put it under a running cold tap. Hopefully that should do the job. Phoenix

Hi guys, just to add my two pen'orth. Heller released all versions, L749, L1049 and the L1649, the last in both civilian and U.S. Navy markings. Yes i have them, and NO i haven't built them! Ahh, so many kits, so little time!!! :huh: Phoenix

Hi all, just a quick tip, raid your wives/girlfriends/significant others/sisters/mothers et al 'box of tricks' otherwise known as 'make-up supply' (hubble, bubble, toil and trouble, ohh, where did you park the broomstick dear?!) Nail varnish remover, NON-GREASY, BIG bottle far cheaper than de-bonder, and obviously milder, cos it's used around the skin. Hope this is of help. Phoenix
