  1. I really like the finish and weathering that you did. Not overdone at all.
  2. Beautiful work. Congratulations.
  3. Holy cow, I want one. Fantastic job on the build. She’s a beauty!
  4. https://flic.kr/s/aHskGWzTAC The photo album has been placed in order of explanation . The first six photos are of the carrier base that I constructed for Academy's 1/32nd scale F-18. The next 14 photos were items that were used in its construction. The Items are: 1/32nd scale Aircraft Carrier tie downs from Tom's Model works, superglue to attach the tie-downs to the plywood, Evergreen sheet styrene, Micro-Mark rivet decal sheet, 3/4" plywood, sanding paper (80 grit), finish nails, carpenters glue, hammer, nail set, oak shoe strip mol
  5. Be glad to Hooker169. I'll start a new feed in the Diorama section.
  6. Top notch work for sure. At 17 hours, I would have still been cutting parts of the Sprue tree. Amazing!
  7. Well, this ones the largest I've built. The base that it sits on measures 24"x24". It was a lot of fun building this one. If I had a chance to change anything, it would have been the intakes. The kit provided intakes are not accurate at all. The only issue I had with the build was the landing gear. I had to strip the paint off the first try. A good friend of mine recommended Super Clean. Stuff works like a charm. The kit was built straight from the box. The only things that I did add was RBF tags, and break lines for the landing gear. Always loved the Tomcat.https://flic.kr/s/aHsmhdFh4f
  8. Thanks gentlemen for your comments. Specter1075, I’ve had A LOT of practice. Lots of trial and error. Give yourself alittle credit. Practice, practice, practice! Thanks for the complement. Thanks Peter. Your work simply blows my mind. Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
  9. Gentlemen, I’m in a bit of a pickle. I’m trying to find a decal sheet for the above Marine Corps Squadron. Specifically, one from the 1980’s-1990’s. I’ve looked in vain, on line. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Regards Christopher.
  10. Very interesting builds. Good work. Always interested in seeing your models.
  11. Outstanding work! Congratulations on a wonderful build.
  12. https://flic.kr/s/aHskD2BGxc I really enjoy the Trumpeter kits. I pulled this one off the shelf this evening to dirty up the base, and add wheel chocks. An uneventful build for sure. They provide a detailed engine, but no way to display it (Unless your willing to do a little surgery yourself) As always, the base is 3/4" plywood covered with hardwood floor sandpaper. I airbrushed the base coat, and lines using Testors Model Master enamels.
  13. https://www.flickr.com/gp/159342774@N07/6WMir2 I've finally had some time and start on this one. I love these kits from Germany. They are engineered very well. A lot of the assemblies require little, or no sanding. Glad I bought the Eduard photo- etch sets for this kit. I purchased both the interior, and exterior sets. I have not worked a lot with photo-etch. My biggest worry about the photo- etch was the engine intake screens. I used the clear part that came with the kit as a mold to form each piece prior to gluing all of them together. I added a white tail rotor drive shaft insi
