  1. This sounds really silly but a pair of scissor's arrived. The post man handed me a sealed packet with the regards of the post office appologising that the packet was damaged in transit. I had no address from where it came or a name of who sent it. I am puzzled? I also got some Magic Sculpt a sort of waxy two part sculpting material. Tried it out this evening and its brilliant stuff to use. John :D
  2. Guys Thanks for the heads up on the fan blades! What do you think to the rest of the set? I have been searching the last couple of days and not had much luck finding a good on line walkaround of the airframe. any pointer would be useful? John
  3. Hi Dave I certainly will. I have also got the airwaves internal bulkhead set which Ibought several years ago and I have just ordered the Airstairs from Photocut. The model I am going to build is the Daco orignal release of the 737-300. I intend on doing the Simpsons logo jet. I have several other projects which I must finish first but once I have all of the parts then I will probably do it as an on line build. :( John
  4. Have found one from Hannants so ignore my request please!!! Although thier web site clearly states sold out I gave them a ring and low and behold they had one (the last one) (normal line is sorry, we just sold the last one) left which I bought. Just to proove a point the best thing to do is to ring people as th web site cannot be totally up to date with all products. John
  5. Hi Guys I have been trying to find this set for sale in the UK. Aeroclub don't have it in stock. Hannants site says it is sold out . Does anyone know of a UK supplier who might have this set available? If not then does someone here have the set that they might be willing to sell on? Thank you in advance John
  6. Captain Erik I think you are probably right the whole nose would need a remoulding. The F6 conversion they are doing is minimal work for them. The only other game in town is/was the Echelon fulll kit.At least now I can do some really colourfull rasberry ripple scheme too. Really looking forward to this one. Tigger :D
  7. Hi all Just to let you know I have just ordered my Panther Productions Hunter T7 conversion in 1/32 scale which is now available. Can't wait to get my hands on this one, really fancy the rasberry ripple scheme. Tigger Take a look at Panther Productions
  8. Frankly James NO! I have one of these in stock and to say it is even more basic than the I.D. models kit is to put it mildly. Not wanting to put you off of a purchace of someones model from ebay but in truth it would not be worth the time and effort spent doing it justice( it will all end in tears!) . The wings and tail surfaces are basic shapes of flat plastic with no aerofoil shape. These were done as a publicity thing for the arrows but I have never heard of one being built. I know of two other peope who have built the I.D. one though.Even that was a real load of work. The best wa
  9. HI Dews it probably is the same article. I actually, with the hepl of a friend who is a wiz with the computer, scanned in some of my own photo's then after some manipulation I got them printed onto decal film at a local printers who were a little reluctant to do it but it worked out in the end. I had to do some touch ups by hand but that was inevtable. Thank you for the compliment it really makes it worth while when I hear comments like that. I am currently working on the next release of Tigger Models which will be a classic British Trainer which I have had several flights in. This will be
  10. Hi Guys although there was two vac forms available unfortunately they are long out of production. ;) Firstly there is the I.D. Models version which I have built and then there is another version who I don't know the company which often come up on ebay. With regards to the Flightpath model I have been waiting over 8 years for them to do it. I don't expect it any time soon. I do know of at least two companies who are investing in pattern work for the model to be produced as vac with resin bits etc. One is 1/32 scale the other is 1/24 I certainly believe that both companies will beat the ot
  11. O.K Guys here is my little to do pile. My wife keeps making the Quote "I am going to buy you a cash till from the early learning centre!" :D :D finally here are some of the completed projects. most are 1/32 scale http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/tig...17/IMAG0005.jpg

  13. HI Ken and all I was the builder of the Fa-18d. I had a similair problem with the interpretation of the rules and took the gamble of putting it in the straight from the kit class as the model is "Straight from the kit" figures included! I have every intention of completing the base as a diorama in the future with the tail of a Mig 21 on the bare corner. Basically what you say is correct about figures but I was prepared to remove the ground crew figure if the Judges concluded the base constituted a diorama. I believe the rules also state that the model may be displayed upon a plain base repr

  18. Hi Ben The group of us that invested bought a Formech 300x although we didn't pay the Retail price we paid a lot of money for it! The reality was I was vac forming on a home made machine for some time and getting what I thought were good results. A trip to a comercial vac forming company convinved me I had to either make a new machine or buy a proper one. The one we bought came up on ebay and was only a few miles from where I live so with the financial help of a couple of friends/ investors we made a bid and won. Any way the quality I now achieve is remarkable. On a recent job I did I pulled
  19. Hi Ben This might not be the answer you are looking for but if you want the quality then you need to spend the money. I and a couple of friends have recently invested in a proffessional machine which was very expensive, the results I achieved from the cheap and home made machine were in a different century in comparison. With this new machine I have started to take commission work and could do the same for you or any modeller here who needs the service. The machine has a flat bed size of 300mm X 450mm it can draw up to 8cm deep and up to 4mm thickness of any material vacable. My rates are v
  20. I actually found it in a railroad etched set years ago and they work realy well with 172scale Its actually one I vac formed myself from a pattern I made, based upon the kit part which I modified. If memory serves me it is a ZIL 157 from ICM. I do not know of one in 1/48 however there is a company who make 1/48 airfield accessories(something like matador models)Don't know if they do one or similair matador models Tigger
  21. Hey Ken that's really looking good, Can I assume you will have it finished for inspection at Scale Model World?? Tigger
  22. I would agree with the concensus so far here is my Su-22 M4 with eduard etched interior and exterior with the part ladder. Lots of work especially thinning the flying surfaces and fitting the airbrakes. the decals are Hi decal. Just using this as an excuse to show this model off really!! Hope you like it? Tigger
  23. The scheme comes in the kit and wil need careful painting of the stripes. The magazine is the new Model Airplane International from the publishers of Tamiya mag. Here is a link to their web site Model Airplane International Thank you for the comments, suffice to say the model is superb!!! Tigger
  24. Just about finished today all I have to do is some finishing of the figures and some work in the jets exhausts. It will be in a magazine soon with lots of close up photo's and a full review. Tigger
  25. Hi Guys I am building it for a certain model magazine which has just started. So far it has gone together really well with the same problems as the orignal model. I would add that the seats are incorrect for the d model . I am doing the tiger striped bird and the second coat of clear has just gone on today. I am off of work next week and hope to get it done then. John
