  1. Music to celebrate the finding of the missing F-35 https://twitter.com/stevenvoiceover/status/1704551135065805100?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1704988498636218684|twgr^|twcon^s3_&ref_url= I loved the part that goes "Boom!"
  2. I just hope Sword get the windshield correct for RF-8s and not copy the one from the Academy kit.
  3. I too have a great deal of respect for those who build vacuform kits. Keep up the good work!
  4. Someone might have spares from this one: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10045898 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10045898
  5. Thanks for the in-box pics. JASDF kits always interest me & I was curious about what was in the box of this kit.
  6. Really well done! Great job on the Japanese pilot and the panel line wash. The ocean base looks awesome!
  7. Good stuff. I like your other video tips too, esp the scribing panel lines one. Great tip on pasting the Dymo tape on top of the Tamiya masking tape to prevent paint from lifting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0yiEEauRS4
  8. Really nice build! I like that you added the boarding ladder, too
  9. If you are lucky, someone may have this old sheet around. You may have to mix & match the serial numbers from spares, though: https://modelingmadness.com/scott/korean/us/usaf/f102.htm Or try to find one of these on Ebay: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10223863 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10223863 Again, you're on your own for the serial numbers.
  10. Someone make decals for this one please ( in all 3 scales) https://runningwithmiles.boardingarea.com/pics-week-royal-saudi-air-force-f-15/
  11. Yup, I agree. Nice builds. I did not know that a Mig-29 nose could be used on the Academy Mig-23. They certainly do make a difference to how the Mig-23 looks. I have the old Academy -23 and it appears to be an export version of the -23 with a smaller nose. I also like how you did the orange-ish canopy seal on number 56. It gives the open canopy a more authentic look.
  12. To my eye, the ZM does have finer and better details. To me, Meng's panel lines seem a tad too deep.
  13. Nice color variations on the rudder and ailerons
  14. There's also a limited version of the kits in Taiwanese colours: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10985787 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10985786 vs the standard kits: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10955852 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10955846 Yeah, Ebay may be cheaper but I'd rather put my money on reliable places like Hobbysearch and HobbyLinkJapan. For peace of mind.
  15. Wow! Your pilot figure is amazing. Good work on painting him.
  16. Yup, same here. Can't see them. I get a blank page with the words "URL signature expired".
  17. Since it's pink, you could use it on this Weapon of Mass Distraction: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10199366 https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10109799
  18. This is by far, the best build report I've read about the Tamiya Skyray ( albeit the 1/48 version): https://jonbius.com/2019/01/25/tamiyas-1-48-f4d-1-skyray-the-shape-of-cool/ I really enjoyed how the modeler recalled his memories of his father and the touching tribute to him.
  19. The Tamiya 1/72 Skyray and the Hasegawa 1/72 F-16s. Simple joys to build.
  20. The upcoming 1/32 Val Dive bomber has them: https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235071718-132-aichi-d3a-val-by-infinity-models/page/2/#comments
  21. WOW !!! Unbelievable builds in 1/72 scale! And your weathering is top notch! Especially that Olive Drab bird
  22. The regular Japanese RF-4Es don't seem too bad (albeit you may need aftermarket decals for non-Japanese versions): https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10034170 Not really an expert but I think there are extra parts for other versions (eg fin-tips, pylons): https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10034170 Though I agree the thin winged ones might be harder to get your hands on.
