  1. Gday Jonathon, the short answer is you cannot do the splinter scheme 902 using the GWH kit. The reason being , 902 being a prototype, was fitted with the early type tail stinger featuring top mounted chaff dispensers as depicted in the KH kit The GWH kit has the later style stinger with downward facing dispensers that was fitted to all airframes shortly after introduction to service Bruce

  7. Well, pretty sure I'm not going to finish anything further for 2014, given I am away from home with work until the 28th, so I present my efforts for 2014 After a few false starts  my first completion was the Trumpeter 1/48 C-47 I then went on a bit of a Boston rampage with an RAF and RAAF machine followed by a Buffalo rampage, using the Special Hobby 48 scale kit so, exactly the same as last year. 5 I was hoping for a few more. Oh, well, maybe next year Cheers Bruce

  9. Gday All Well I have not posted here in quite some time, but lately have been lurking here a fair bit, so thought I would put up my latest work This is the Italeri 1/48 Boston III, which is a reboxing of the old, but still serviceable AMT kit KIt is OOB with the following additions. MDC resin wheels Eduard PE (only used some of the fret) Vector corrected control surfaces Master Barrels machine gun barrels. In addition I scratch-built some additional rib and stringer detail in the rear gunners cockpit. It is built to represent Boston RH-B "Beer is Best" from 88 SQN AUG 1944 This a/
  10. The ones that I watch often is 1. The Final Countdown when the Tomcats overfly the yacht, slow for the 'cats, but mind boggling to the folks on deck, when the strike group launches, and of course when the splash the zeroes +1 to the above, Nothing epitomizes,to me, anyway - the shear fun of being a fighter pilot- as this clip and the Helicopter chase scene from "Capricorn one" great flying Honourable mention Spitfire low pass from " A bridge too Far" ( cant find it on utube) and the dogfight from Tora Tora Tora (once again, cant find on youtube) Bruce
