  1. Here's a brief clip of my (It now belongs to James Cawley at the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour)1:350 SECOND pilot Enterprise. I lit, painted and detailed the model to reflect the 11' Filming model as it was seen in the second Pilot AND stock footage throughout the series. The model was filmed in front of a blue screen with the planet and stars added after. The slight "bleed through" is intentionally there as an homage to the original series. Then of course yours truly beams down to the planet surface to investigate.

It's kinda testing the waters for a possible Captain Pike(original Jeff Hunter version)Fan film.

I hope you guys can enjoy it!
    Thanks.

You nailed it!  Painting one like the studio model and not how it looked on film is a challenge. I never realized the details until I saw it in the Smithsonian.

I’m painting my 1/32 Shuttlecraft right now.  Now that I’ve switched over to lacquer paints, no way I could find all those enamels Gary Kerr recommends.  For the main hull I went with FS16440 and British sky (green) at a 10:1 ratio. Looks good to my eye.

Sincere thanks! I humbly appreciate it! It's satisfying when other modelers recognize the difficulty in getting this ship right! Thanks again.

Here is my 1/350 Enterprise. The model was totally air brushed mixed colors to represent the filming miniature as seen in 1966. I worked extra hard on getting the Engine lights as correct as I could in this scale. I strive for scale lighting to insure realism of the model. It is seen here in front of a blue screen and a comparison shot with the actual filming miniature. Thanks!

  4. Here is another edit of my Irwin Allen tribute to the Lift off and Crash landing of the Jupiter 2 from Lost in Space. It is a continuing project I thought I would Share.
It features my scale model work in an attempt to recreate the adventures of the Jupiter 2.
Its intentional Black and White to capture the feel of those early serious episodes.
    Thanks!

  5. Here is my Polar Lights 1:32 Galileo 7 Shuttle craft build. I actually built the exterior several years ago and retro fitted the interior kit when it became available! My own lighting rig and working hatches!

    Thanks!

I'm quite late to this party, but that's kinda my life story.  The Enterprise looks fantastic! Very movie realistic. Now... where on God's green earth did you get that very large Eagle from Space 1999? Please and thank ya.

    Thanks!

The Eagle is a 22" kit available from MPC(Polar Lights).

Check Amazon, Mega Hobby or Auto World!

  7. MPC/ Round 2 COMMLOCK & STUN GUN build up...
A spent a couple hours finishing these up( for now).
I made them so I can remove the chrome parts and replace them with aluminum parts.
I weathered the stun gun slightly.
I also allowed for the future addition of lighting.
The props will be lit as they were in the series.
Both models were air brushed with mixed TAMIYA paints.

Again, I will be lighting these to reflect their look on the series.
I can swap out the sliding stun / kill functions.
The chrome parts are held securely in place but can be removed easily for replacement with upgraded aluminum parts.
The models/props were air brushed a mixture of TAMIYA paints.
Great kits!! Never thought we would see this happen. Thanks Round 2 another home run!!
    Thanks!
