Mike I agree it really is great to see a mainstream manufacturer producing this kit - and as for the Nimrod..... Let's hope that Airfix is on the way up. Sorry to the rest of you - can't give an opinion on the kit 'cos I still HAVE AT LEAST FIVE DAYS TO GO........ Graham
-
Mike I know what you mean about 1/48 though I put it down to dodgy eye-site (actually I'm becoming more an more fond of 1/32.......) Graham
-
Mike If it's as good as their Lightening then I'll be as happy as a pig in poo! Graham
-
Mike Yep 10..... a couple of prototypes,....a few production versions and then a number of post 1980 production versions (with the Tornado style intakes) should make at least 10...... Please don't say it's cr@p like their 1/72 Concorde...... Graham (still waiting in anticipation)
-
At least five days to go and still gritting my teeth........ I want to call you all Bast@@ds but I don't think I'm allowed to say that! Graham (waiting for his 10 copies in the Philippines from Hannants[nice people]).........
-
Mike Yeah but we get more rain, military coups and states of emergency....... Oh yes and beer is 50p a pint....
-
It's all right for you lucky buggers but I live in the Philipines an have to wait for at least another week before delivery. Grrrrrr

If anybody wants to see how the Airfix kit is progressing take a look at their web site where they have pictures of a resin master to 1/48th scale Personally I think they should release it in that scale, but beggars can't be choosers as they say. Graham

Am I the only one who thinks that some of the bits in this kit are from a different model? The fit of parts is more like a limited run kit than a mainstream manufacturer. Quality of detail (panel lines etc) is pretty poor, too. Brilliant subject matter but dissapointing kit.
