  1. I have the entire article. I can scan and email it if you like. It would probably take three separate sends to get all the pages. Chris M
  2. That's the NVG filter cover for the caution light display panel. The panel was installed on all airframes from the factory build. The NVG filter cover was installed as part of a package that turned all lighting to blue by either changing the existing lighting from red to blue (bulb cover replacement) or new blue instrument masks. Avionics control heads had red internal lighting. The boxes were swapped out control heads that had the internal red switched to blue. Chris M
  3. Another curios error is the placement illustration of the pilot's seat sliding armor panel, The right side panel is B-25 and the left side panel is B-27, they are shown in the instructions installed upside down. Chris M
  4. The links in question are provided in the kit, just left out of the instruction sheets. They are parts #44 on fret B. Chris M
  5. There existed a span of time between 2010 and 2012 when an alarming number of shipments to the UK disappeared into thin air and customers made charge backs against Cobra Company for the "losses". It became known to us that unscrupulous buyers in the UK, and many other countries, knew that there was no method of verifying or tracking international shipments. Those same people knew that when using their credit card to buy something required the seller to guarantee delivery. When a shipment can't be verified the seller has no choice other than to have the charge taken back and therefore suffers a
  6. Yes, you're that customer. You were not alone, just the last one. And the replacement part you needed has been posted. CM
  7. Mike did not buy the molds. The value is in the masters, not the molds. Taking the molds would have required Mike having to make a trip here to pick them up. There is a difference in the way we each chose to make production. I made multiple gang molds for building inventory and replacing it. Mike does not use the same way and the existing molds did not suit his aims. The molds have been disposed of. Most of them were in need of replacement. Chris M
  8. I find that hard to believe. As many people from all over the world found, it was expensive to ship internationally. That stopped most people from following through. The last customer we served from the UK was in December. He was willing to pay for what he wanted. Chris M
  9. You are mistaken. Cobra Company shipped world wide to any country for the past 4 years. Apparently you didn't ask. Chris M
  10. Mike West is acquiring Cobra Company in it's entirety. That means the masters for resin sets and all of the remaining inventory. He'll decide what he wants to do with it after he has received everything. Chris M
  11. A few years ago shipping internationally was very risky because there was no accountability. Several countries proved very troublesome. Now, some methods are in place to reduce the risks but along with that it has become very expensive for international shipping. Cobra Company will ship internationally if the client is willing to pay the costs. Chris M
  12. Cobra Company will be holding a Christmas sale from December 10th thru December 15th. All merchandise will receive a 15% discount at the time we process the order, we will do this manually. Domestic and international postage rates will remain unchanged. Chris Miller Cobra Company
  13. Cobra Company will hold a Christmas sale from December 10th thru the 15th. All orders will receive a 15% merchandise discount applied at time of processing. This will be done manually by us. All domestic and international postage rates will remain the same. Chris Miller Cobra Company
  14. Cobra Company sells and ships worldwide. If the customer fails to order because he objects to international postal costs it is his own choice. Chris M
  15. Live Resin has both rigid and flexible ammo belts and ammo chutes in two scales, 1/35 and 1/48. Chris M
  16. The middle picture is not a VNAF huey, it's a US huey with the "Nighthawk" night interdiction system on it. Although it shows a minigun installed it is not the XM-93 system or any of it's components. You can also research UH-1N 20th SOS and find pictures of this system as well as UH-1P instals for details. The rocket pods could come from an MRC UH-1C, 7 shot pods are in some issues of it. The Panda/Dragon UH-1N gunship version had pods and mounts although I think the pods were 19 shot, at least the mounts could be used. Chris M
  17. We do not sell those as individual items but live resin sells them in sets of four. Chris M
  18. The system adapted to VNAF UH-1's is the XM-93 automatic gun system. Cobra Company makes it in 1/35th scale specifically for that application. Chris M
  19. Both the 147th ASHC and the 271st ASHC had OH-58's used to scout potential LZ's and PZ's. Chris M
  20. Some times it was more expedient to remove the large sliding doors rather than have them pinned open. This was true especially when seeking to save a few pounds of weight. Also, when lift missions were high tempo, the fuel port on the right side would be blocked by the open door and it would have to be closed to reach the port. Unless the window was removed from the door. Both happened. Pilot doors were often removed to allow for quicker egress, something needed if ground fire damaged the helicopter while landed or an inflight fire demanded getting out fast once on the ground. Chri
  21. There is almost nothing to add to a USMC build. A nicer FLIR head and some better sensor faces and that is it. The FLIR head comes in the new set. Chris M
  22. The set, #48064, is $32.00. It was posted on the web site last week however the web site files are being realigned in a new account. The ordering catalogs are currently dark. Chris M
  23. There are no external lumps or bumps yet. If the current set sells well enough to warrant external additions then a USAF type and a separate USMC type will follow on. Chris Miller Cobra Company
