  1. Anyone have one I can buy?
  2. Unc, you are still my favorite ARC character! Thanks so much for the kind words ;-)
  3. You're welcome! I was planning a foiling one as well. Not sure when I'll get around to it though!
  4. I posted this in the "general" forum, But I figured it should be in here too. This guide has been on ARC for at least a couple of years. When the 'new' forum format came, this pinned article got buried where no one really looks. It used to get down-loaded a few times every week and people would send me emails thanking me for writing it. I think it helped a lot of people. I spent a long time writing that book specifically for ARC visitors(it could use a little updating, so I may do that soon), damn it, I want it read!. There are 300 pictures in that article! It kind of upsets me that it seem

It used to get down loaded a few times every week and people would send me emails thanking me for writing it. I spent a long time writing that book specifically for ARC visitors (it could use a little updating, so I may do that soon). There is tons of copy, a few jokes and should really be 'light' reading, and there are about 300 pictures in that article! It kind of upsets me that it seems to be going to
  6. Gee, any of you folks around here remember me? lol! I used to be popular ;-) I'm building this kit for someone and really wanted a Black Box cockpit set for it, but can't track down a new old stock, if you will. Is the Aries one the same, or just as good... better? Finally, is their a photo etch canopy set? I've seen what I could on Sprue Brothers, one of the PE sets includes canopy but I didn't see any of the locking hooks at the bottom... I'm not giving in and getting the seamless suckers intakes!!! I will fix the problem just because I like the challenge! Client is not accuracy fanatical.
  7. Did this ever get built?
  8. Did you get it built?

  9. Yeah. Ditto on that. I was a very early member too (300+). I liked seeing others numbers.
  10. I've given this new forum what I consider to be significant time to grow on me. I just can't get to the point where I like it. The old forum seemed more friendly, more accessible, warmer somehow. I used to come here everyday, several times a day. Now, maybe once per week. I really miss it though, I feet a great affinity with most of the people. I don't know what it is exactly, I just don't feel the friendly common-ness of the old one. Weird huh? Funny how some us resist change! Although in my defense, I've loved every previous forum change! I'm not leaving by any stretch of the imagination. I
  11. Midway is on right now... Doesn't matter how many times I watch it...
  12. I haven't checked anywhere else yet, but has anyone heard anything new regarding the ex-WingScale product over the last month?
  13. Just curious is all! If General Discussions has its own "Pinned Items" folder, why do pinned items appear in the General folder? I just find myself sometimes saying "It's in the pinned items at the top of the GD forum", then having to clarify further by saying "No, not IN the GD forum, ABOVE the GD forum where the OTHER pinned items are". If the idea is clarity... I would suggest its adding confusion.
  14. Absolutely my pleasure Mike! I hope you keep building!!!!
  15. i just finished my first ever biplane a few weeks ago. It was the Wingnut Wings Albatros. I had never done rigging either. It's not that bad they are EXCELLENT kits. I ordered "Bob's Buckles" and that made the rigging easier (and they're pretty cheap). Go for it... you wont regret a WW kit!
  16. Funny, I actually agree with you about that. The style was a bit odd at times but the story was something that really made me sit back and ponder their experiences. It was just plain brutal at times. You need to read Ghost Soldiers if you haven't already. It was almost the perfect book by my definition. I couldn't put it down.
  17. I try to not comment on these kind of posts. I just find it so difficult to form the right words... I have experienced the two things you mentioned. I lost my father too, and he died before I gained the courage to go see him. I had not seen him in more than 10 years as well.
  18. Hey SBARC, why are there pinned topics in two places? It's a little confusing (maybe just to me!). The top most "Pinned" section doesn't seem to get noticed, as is evident by people not able to find the "How to" download and emailing me. Don't get me wrong, not complaining, just asking.
  19. My God that was a brutal but fantastic book.
