  1. Obviously "Night Vision Green". I'm sure someone makes it! (If not, I bet some paint guy is reading this post and writing down in his notebook... "New idea for a green colour, re-brand Lime Green as Night Vision Green" Sales will double!)
  2. I kind of admire this in a sad and jealous way... http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/lambo-battered-2011-03-15
  3. See honey *pointing out to wife*, nerdy model guys have very witty senses of humour too!
  4. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing! It's a beautiful aircraft.
  5. For the non-perfectionists I offer up the following; I don't like to mix paint. There are dozens of shades of any colour you want, right off the shelf. Green? You want green? Let's see, we'll just look at Model Master m'kay? There's... Field Drab Dark Green Olive Green Field Green Medium Green Forest Green Interior Green RAF Interior Green Pale Green Green Zinc Chromate European Green Medium Field Green (which I'm guessing is Field green & Medium green mixed together?... just kidding) Green Drab SAC Bomber Green Olive Drab Green British Green Metallic Sublime Green Chry
  6. What the F@*!(, holy cr$p... you gotta be kiddin' me?! I can't get my plastic kit model to look this good. Stop posting this stuff... it is very discouraging!
  7. Soooo, RandomCatFacts isn't just RandomCatFacts after all... The magic is gone. You're dead to me now.
  8. Brings new meaning to getting "up" for the flight.
  9. Read this... http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal5...9_Shred/00.shtm The guys a friggin' genius! (just kidding, relax). It'll give you an idea on what the first time is like. By the way, don't use BMF - use normal kitchen foil. I'm writing a much more detailed "How to Foil" article (the follow up to my "How to Build a Model Airplane" article), just waiting for the new WingScale B25 'cause it's the subject matter for the article.
  10. Well... weathering is a very subjective art, so opinions can vary dramatically on this. If I was judging your work I'd say it's as close to perfect as you can get (for my taste). You have a gifted eye for this hobby. If there is some constructive criticism then... it may boarder on slightly too much post shading along the panel lines. I certainly want to see more of your work, excellent, excellent, excellent!
  11. Huh? This one is over my head...
  12. Anyone else smell Alvis 3.1 hanging around...?
  13. Okie-dokey. I'll stop reading now and respect your wishes.
  14. Gee, it's hard to know where to start... Mostly, if the product is produced in Japan and the Yen falls (lets assume a reasonable amount stock exists and production is still possible), orders from outside the country are pretty much the prime source of income used to rebuild and recover since domestic sales will most likely tumble, due to the disaster. Stronger US or Canadian currency could represent a significant boost in sales and the only source of sustainable income. Since the product is produced with Yen's (assuming domestic materials are used), the foreign exchange provides a stronger cu
  15. Are you serious or do you really not understand economics at all?
  16. Alclad is bulletproof for the most part. It has to be the wrong primer or prep. Is the primer staying on and just the Alclad lifts off? Also, I use Alclad without any primer quite often.
  17. Very cool. Although... you seem to have too much time on your hands!
  18. (Why does brilliant wit like this go unnoticed and unappreciated here?) There is a great lesson in AM's demise. Putting aside the fact it could simply have been a matter of really poor company management (which I don't think it was, but...) The failure of AM is proof that providing a quality product backed by excellent customer support, is no guarantee of success. I remember when they hit the market and the ensuing excitement of the model community. AM was going to change everything! There are lessons here for WingNuts and Wingscale (and I'm already not very happy with Wingscale), WingNut
  19. Over the years, your commentary added to the end of, lets call them... troublesome posts, have provided me with many a chuckle, sometimes even a hearty guffaw! A witty and intellectual mod, you're giving other mod's a "personality" challenge. May I suggest that perhaps after all this time, you may have enough material to write a humorous book? A fan.
  20. :) Randomcatfacts is so ridiculous it makes my day every time I see it! I would venture to say this is a better place due to his contributions. ..and, who's to say they're all persona's? Maybe Angelina Jolie throws together a 109 once in awhile.
  21. I've been staring at this 69 Z28 someone gave me (used to own one, God I miss that car), this would give me an excuse to build it!
  22. Bombs, Missiles & Other Ordinance Forum I'm in.
