  1. Great! I'm only a reasonably close approximation of a skilled model builder, so that's perfect. 😄
  2. I have the Print Scale sheet with one sh-60b, mh-60s, and mh-60
  3. Cyber Hobby has this kit on sale for under 15 bucks, no offense to the Army but I'm a FLY NAVY kind of guy. So I'm wondering if I can get this kit looking like a Seahawk, or at least very very close? Reviews I read said it has 35 unused parts, maybe they're Seahawk parts? I already have the right decals in my stash, at under 15 bucks I can also buy some photoetch and still come out ahead. Thanks for any help Michael Lee Smith
  4. thanks Snake these are great, and the QL404 is indeed the model I'm making, those are the kit decals. Hope they're decent, never used Hobbyboss decals before
  5. Thank you Gino. I'm just going by what the box says the model is, a UH-1C 😉 It's definitely not an exact replica of anything, helicopters would be pretty hard to fly with no collectives and no pedals 😉 Basically bought it just for a test bed for some new weathering techniques. Assuming this imaginary helo was ever actually in Vietnam,. would there be heavy red clay dust around the skids and the lower part of the aircraft?
  6. Gents, I found a Hobbyboss 1/48 "easy assembly" kit for this helicopter at Hobby Lobby for 6 bucks on sale, couldn't pass it up. Turns out there are absolutely no color call outs in the instructions, except for "olive drab" on the USMC version, which, I'm no expert but it MUST be USMC Field Green right? And, not sure about the blades, were they black on top and olive drab on the bottom? Seems like I read that once, but not sure and couldn't find any info on it doing an internet search. Thanks in advance for any help! Michael Smith
  7. Lucky Model has taken good care of me over the years, I'm a happy customer, glad it worked out for you.
  8. Maybe it was the infamous BONDOBIRD, an experimental car that GM was trotting around to various car shows back in the day.
  9. Nope, but these things can take a bit of time here on Hyperscale.
  10. I can't find an email address for you, and your PMs are not being accepted, so can you tell me the prices for one of the Revell 1/48 Tornadoes, and these:
  11. I was going in that direction first but thought maybe anyone who would get it had probably died by now 😊
  12. I appreciate the help, truly. I was just being lighthearted and gay. Well, not gay gay, just having fun! Sorry for any misunderstanding! It's just that, at age 66, with 61 years of filling, sanding and shaping countless Frog, Heller, Lindbergh, Matchbox,1960s Monograms and Airfix kits in a baggie, I'm just not into it anymore if there's a workaround. And yes I know there will be lots of filling and sanding on this kit too, but I can deal with that.😉 Some kind soul answered my plea for help on the Hyperscale Plane Trading page so there may be a replacement in my future. Long live I
  13. Hahahaha, haven't used Bondo in years! Let's see, one can Bondo plus value of my time spent to and from store plus value of my time spent experimenting and sanding = ONE NEW KINETIC F/A-18C! That's Modern Modeling Math.
  14. I'll file it til it's like the point of a dagger then!
  15. I just started mentioning I've been building models since I was 5, and posted some pics, and people found them "collectable" so it basically created a cycle of selling a kit, then using those funds for more kits, then selling, then buying, you know the routine. I just got the genius idea to do some planes in the colors and logo of my band, which may up the collectable factor many times, we'll see, doing a 1/32 Hasegawa F-5E, that came with unusable "Sundowners" decals, which is one of my all time fave schemes, and I've never been able to get the 2 Bobs sheet which has those markings, so going
  16. I just got this old kit off of ebay, and the nose has a definite dermatological condition, Can't blame the seller, everything was still sealed in the original baggie, and until I opened it, the nose was hidden underneath the fuselage halves, so the seller probably didn't even know. Any way, really don't want to spend a ton of time rehabbing it if anything else is available. Here's what the part looks like it's part number 11 from kit number 85-4821.
  17. I just bought 4 Revell 1/144 Hornets 😉 Not to mention several "two in a box" Dragon 1/144 Navy helicopters. I do a lot of 1/72 planes, but I like doing 1/48 stuff because I have sort of a fan base on my Facebook page, and I can sell bigger models almost instantly, but the 1/72 planes not so much, people seem to want the bigger planes. I just bought the Kinetic 1/48 F/A-18-C too. Hey my stash is the equivalent of someone else's wine cellar!
