37th TAS/435th TAW based at Rhein-Main AB. The unit had several aircraft in this scheme.

I saw a few pictures of an Aviano F-16 on a post maintenance testflight from Charleroi in the HG5 dark scheme with light grey tailcode and serial on Facebook today. -
The MC-130H is still in service, as is the AC-130W.

The tape would stay there until the aircraft used its guns. If you want to model an aircraft that just came back and had used its guns there would be some holes in the tape indeed. As far as I know it would normally be reapplied after the sortie when time permitted.
