  1. Unless you drive a DeLorean, in which case you can place a warning note for yourself in the past. Yup, Jennings probably drives a DeLorean.
  2. Well you did say 'down to one paved runway' which isn't true... Fairford might be a standby airfield but it still gets visiting aircraft fairly regularly.
  3. Besides Lakenheath they still have Fairford.
  4. These topics could be of use: http://www.f-16.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19041 http://www.f-16.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21896
  5. The yellow nose is an aircraft assigned to an OTU (Operational Training Unit).
  6. Some pics of the Lone Star items: http://www.network54.com/Forum/149674/thread/1425838776/1-72+B-52+H+engine+pods
  7. Another from the same series:
  8. There are some pics of a finished model here: http://karopka.ru/community/user/8071/?MODEL=383736 and sort of a build topic here: http://karopka.ru/forum/messages/forum189/topic19250/message771060/?result=reply#message771060 Size wise, it would be smaller than your Tu-22M. (size information on the box top http://modelsua.com/Beriev-Be-12-Seagull-Mail-amphibious-aircraft-1-72-ModelSvit-72012.html)
  9. What real evidence do you have that it was 149? If Pollie says it wasn't 149 then, knowing a bit about his background, I have no reason not to believe him.
  10. http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/756/4542187036.jpg Mike did post some pics of his engines on Hyperscale's forum a while ago if someone cares to look for them.
  11. Lone Star Models has just released a set of replacement engines for the B-52H. http://www.lonestarmodels.com/Conversions1-72.html
  12. Fairly, just the bit from Lajes in the Azores to Spangdahlem took them about 6 hours. This is their approximate routing from McGuire AFB (their last stop in the US after having departed Davis Monthan AFB) to Spangdahlem. http://skyvector.com/?ll=45.10558021289406,-45.93164062979069&chart=302&zoom=13&plan=A.K6.KWRI:V.K6.ACK:F.K6.DOVEY:G.41.25,-65:G.42.07,-60:G.42.07,-50:A.LP.LPLA:F.LP.DOLER:F.LP.ANAVA:G.40,-25:G.43,-20:G.45,-17:G.46,-15:F.EG.OMOKO:F.EG.GUNSO:F.EG.RATKA:V.EG.LND:V.EG.VLN:V.EG.BZN:V.EG.MAM:F.EG.NAVPI:F.ED.NOLRU:A.ED.ETAD
  13. Seems it went off the runway during the emergencylanding http://pbs.twimg.com/media/B9u0h4EIcAA40cd.jpg
  14. All 12 just overflew the Netherlands... Well, 10 actually as 1 declared an emergency and took along a buddy to land at Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport of all places.
  15. They're at Lajes now and should arrive at Spangdahlem tomorrow afternoon: http://www.usafe.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123438997
  16. This is the C-27A which served for about a decade out of Howard AFB before the USAF sent them to the boneyard so that doesn't make Whitey's theory that likely. He's thinking about the C-27J.
  17. It's been delayed to March indeed. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234975572-148-supermarine-spitfire-mki-by-airfix-box-art-test-shot-release-march-2015/?p=1891025
  18. According to Britmodeller's 'Rumourmonger' forum Eduard is working on a new Tempest family for 2016. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234976000-148-hawker-tempest-by-eduard-2016-release/
  19. Actually the 100th ARW is moving to Ramstein, it's the 352nd SOG that's moving to Spangdahlem.
  20. From what I've seen they just used orange/red tags without any text. France wasn't part of NATO during their period of Jaguar operations so they didn't have much to do with 'NATO-standards' (if there are any NATO-standards in RBF tags at all).
  21. Welschap didn't scramble anything but the F-16s you saw/heard were part of an anti-terrorism exercise. Nothing to do with Electrosoldier's story. Have a look at http://www.omroepbrabant.nl/?news/2237971303/Grote+anti-terreuroefening+op+Vliegbasis+Eindhoven+F-16s+dwingen+gekaapt+vliegtuig+tot+landen.aspx (sorry, in Dutch only)
  22. Correct, but not the Rafale M that the Aeronavale uses. They flew their first sorties (recce) 3 days later like Pete said. http://rafalenews.blogspot.com/2011/09/libya-rafale-stats.html http://rafalenews.blogspot.com/2011/03/first-rafale-m-mission-over-libya.html The Rafale M was the first Rafale version to go to a combatarea though, when they flew missions over Afghanistan in 2002.
  23. This topic has some interesting info on A-702 http://www.network54.com/Forum/149674/thread/1280422320/Ju-52+%28Where+Eagles+Dare%29+color+questions+please...
  24. Paolo, You probably already know but just in case; if you can't get the decals you're looking for you could get this sheet http://www.smds.ws/proddetail.php?prod=SMDS48003D HTH Koen
  25. There are one or two OV-1 groups on Facebook, you might have more luck asking on there.
