  1. Those look like Tomcat wheels..no?
  2. I try to do as many at once as possible. So, instead of cutting n placing one at a time, I'll cut a square of 6 'no steps'. Dip that whole square at once and slide them on one at a time. If I'm frustrated I walk away and I've absolutely skipped them..on grey Marine and Navy jets they are hard to see anyway
  3. Trial n error...and read some of the posts here even if it doesn't currently apply to your situation. I use coffee filters now for everything from washing off dust, removing panel wash..even fine buffing. I got the idea from someone here on a random post. ๐Ÿ‘
  4. Looks like lint from a paper towel. If so, dip your finger in a little water if everything is dry n it should come off
  5. First question is when did it happen? While brushing would be a huge clue. Could be paint drying before it hits the surface but looks like dust/lint too. I always use a fan brush or heavy, soft 1 inch brush to dust off my models between coats and ive started making dust covers out of the plastic sprue bags. Still have the occasional dust bunny but not as much. Also, wiping with coffee filters instead of paper towels helps.
  6. Agreed..I'm an American who seeks clarity not conclusions..I ask questions..and I've come across plenty of evidence that the Japanese saw Berlin fall and knew the Russians would be coming after them next..and the Russians would slaughter anything that moved.
  7. Just pick it up and use it...often. Get the basics down, clean and maintain it but after that you have to find out what works by experience. The videos will give you tips to try as you advance but in the beginning just take it slow and keep at it.
  8. Move them inside Target or Wal Mart...no chance those will ever close down.
  9. Fostering, rescuing..so many animals need a good home. even going to a shelter just to play with or walk the animals there is a great volunteer activity. They are caged up most of the day. I'm on a waitlist to start training with my local ASPCA once the remaining lockdown restrictions go away. Take care
  10. The rose bush is a great idea. I brought inn flowers n plants and made a little shrine with my pups boxed ashes. Bringing in the flowers brought some color and life into a cold, empty home. Bringing in that but if beauty n vibrant life brought a bit of balance. Wish you the best..it will slowly get better
  11. Paint tires rubber, black wash, dry brush raised section with dust (oil or ammo pigment). Done
  12. Use it as a practice build. Try some stuff you wouldn't do on another keeper build. Experiment with some new paint n weathering techniques and think of it as building skills for the next build. Or chuck it into the back yard
  13. The detail of things no one will ever see again or the accuracy of dimensions are fun conversations...but none of that matters unless it's fun to put together...a good fit and smooth build is where the rubber meets the road for me...for me.
  14. I'm sorry for your loss and I know the pain your feeling. I'm an Akita owner and lover..I'm on #4 now. Saying goodbye to the previous 3 was gutting. But it gets better. I understand the first reaction is to think we could have done something..but the reality is we just don't know and they leave when they are ready. Try not to beat yourself up..I know it's tempting but your fur baby would never want that. We do our best and we grow from each experience. My last boy, a big, beautiful Akita died at only 7. He bloated, stomach completely twisted and he died on the operating table during th
  15. Right..,now what am I gonna do...go back to working on my model? Pffft...
  16. Hey, I really appreciate the thought. I gave up the search, put the scooter back on the shelf and started another Tomcat..so no hurries, no worries. If the sheet turns up that would be great..just let me know. Tango๐Ÿ‘
  17. You guys are killing me๐Ÿ˜†..guess that's why it's been like looking for Bigfoot so far...
  18. Yeah I had my eye on that sheet...haven't been in stock in any of my usual go to spots.. overall grey scooter schemes seem to be the same deal
  19. Very cool..now to track down some decals...not much left out there last I checked
