  1. Thanks, ya-gabor. I am happily living with it, and I hope you get/have gotten "it" fixed to your satisfaction. Since you have the requisite skills to work any and all issues, what was the your solution ... to which kit? Thanks, Gene K
  2. Try to "unsee" the bulge -- it's not that significant ... to most. Gene K
  3. That F-16 pilot could be flying an A-10 if the right arm could be moved to a more central position to grip a stick! SO glad to see USAF getting some attention. Now what's needed is a USAF 60-70s F-4 Phantom crew!!!! Gene K
  4. How goes it on this magnificent build? Gene K
  5. I have always appreciated your expertise ... and your opinions! Gene K
  6. Replacement is likely a significant financial drain on such a small company ... but then, their initial production runs haven't been that large. Gene K FineMolds Fan
  7. I, and a lot of others I know, are thankful for your valuable "nuttiness". Gene K
  8. Haydn, Are you still making the F-100 intakes? Gene K
  9. Great thread, Dai. I appreciate your technical and hobby expertise, as well as the skill involved with putting the thread together. Thanks, Gene K
  10. Rich ... I continue to be blown away by your flawless workmanship. All I can say is: Gene K
  11. Hopefully the USAF jet jocks will get as much love as the Navy and Army ... in particular early 50-80s ... and esp Viet Nam era. Gene K
  12. For those with Silhouette cutters, I posted canopy masks for the single seaters here. I also posted an svg for folks with other cutters or those who want to trace/cut manually. Unfortunately the excellent Scale Models Paint Mask site is not well known, but hopefully with the increasing number of cutter owners, traffic (and subsequently uploads) will increase. A great modelling resource with so much potential ... . Gene K
  13. And the C&H Aero Miniatures conversion .... that Steve Corvi so nicely detailed in his dual F-100 build in Scale Aviation Modeller International, Vol5 issue 9, September 1999. A timeless, excellent article over two decades ago, Steve!! Some day ... . Gene K
  14. Brand new, perfect condition. $45 plus shipping. (Retail $70). Gene K
  15. Here's another interesting video from the head of FineMolds giving his views on the forthcoming two seaters, both Japanese and US. Among other things, he points out differences in models. The Closed Captioning in US language is very good: Outstanding to see/hear directly from the big boss, something not usual from other kit makers. Gene K
  16. What's the "contraption" carrying the small bomblets shown to the left of the model? Gene K
  17. Thanks, as usual, JackMan. I had forgotten about the ladder being included in that set, so will have to pull it out to play with it per your mod! Gene K
  18. Wish I had know about the Limited Edition shortcomings before I laid down the extra dollars. Not a good way to highlight a new product. Gene K
  19. HLJ still has 4 .... at a better price: https://www.hlj.com/1-72-scale-jasdf-f-15j-fighter-hot-scramble-1984-initial-specification-fnmfp50 Gene K
  20. A very different pylon! In USAF 1x1 use, the tank and pylon are an integrated unit, whereas the outboard weapons pylon has a different shape (deeper) and is mounted at an angle. The usual outstanding Tommy Thomason detail is here. There's also a good model discussion here, but it's for the excellent Hypersonic 1/48 version. In 1/32, there's the GT resin set (which I have not seen, but reviews can (of course) be Googled). Hopefully Hypersonic Jeffrey will comment. Unfortunately he doesn't do 1/32. As an aside, you mentioned modelling the kit as being in flight. In that
  21. Quite a guy! Thanks for that memorial ... and for all the other great modeling things you do and have done for so many years. Gene K
  22. Interesting motivational material here by renowned Tommy Thomason. Gene K
