  2. Hi all,

Is Aires falling behind the new 3D printing technology? Why do you think Aires is not using the 3D printed interior in combination with resin?

I believe Aires photo-etched parts pale in comparison to Quinta-Studio 3D interiors.

    What are your thoughts?

Mmm ! Maybe you get a flight to Ukraine then hitch a ride with Russian soldiers back to Moscow. Great model I agree but will not spend a dime with anything related to Russia.

I wish I could buy two right now, but it seems like it is imposible.

    Hi Jake,

    Thank you for you words.

I love your decals, from which I have a few.  Keep up the good work, I will keep buying them.

  5. Hi,

Here are some photos of my 1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18C Hornet.

I used Aires cockpit and exhaust nozzles set, Eduard missiles and Flying Leathernecks VMFA-122. By the way, you can see the the Aires exhausts shrank, which is really bad.

    Thanks for looking.

  6. Hi,

Here are some photos of my 1/48 Kitty Hawk Mig-25PD.

I used the Barracuda Studios nose correction set, exhaust nozzles and wheels. I also used Eduard color photo etched interior set and Aires ejection seat and pilot. Akan Decals were used which worked great.

Overall the fit was good but I had to deal with the distortion of the main fuselage halves but with the help of some clamps, I managed to do it.

    Thanks for looking.

Fantastic work! Really like the look of the Fencer, and you've done it real justice! I have all the Zip stuff too. Did it go together well?

I believe for the most part they went together very well. The only thing I did not use was the exhaust nozzles that came with the rear fuselage set since I used Amigo exhaust nozzles instead which are much better. You better build the kit with the Komplekt Zip sets, you never know if a new Su-24 kit comes out in the near future.  Besides liking the aircraft, I built it because I just did not want to get a lot of improving sets burned out with a new kit.

    Thank you for asking.

  8. Hi all,

Here is a 1/48 Trumpeter Su-24M "Fencer" I was able to finish on 2022.

As stated on my previous post, the Su-24M was built using all Komplekt Zip accessories available like front and rear fuselage and intakes, Aires cockpit set and wheel wells, Armory wheel sets, Amigo Models fuel tanks and exhaust nozzles and Eduard missiles. I also use Begemot decals and stencils.

    See some photos below.

    Thank you for looking.

  9. Hi all,

    Here is a couple of models I finished in 2022.  It is a 1/48 Kitty Hawk Su-30SM and a 1/48 Trumpeter Su-24M.

The Su-30SM was built straight from the box with addition of missiles from the Su-24M kit and from the spare box.

The Su-24M was built using all Komplekt Zip accessories available like front and rear fuselage and intakes, Aires cockpit set, Armory wheel sets, Amigo Models fuel tanks and exhaust nozzles and Eduard missiles.

Here are some photos of the both and the Su-30SM.  There will be another post with the Su-24M only.

    Thank you.

    Anyone have a sprue F?

    Mine has all the rest

I don't think you need the Sprue F.  Mine doesn't have it either.  I checked the instruction and I could not see any F parts.

I could help some modellers, post service works fine. However, the transfer of money from the US and Europe to Russia is now very difficult due to sanctions on the banking system

    Hi guys,

Can anybody know how we in the U.S. could pay Sergei in Russia (assuming he would accept) and then he can ship the kit to us?

Is payment from a Mexican bank could be accepted for example?

    Helmsman, any suggestion?

    Thank you.

    Which of them Arma uses?

I would  also like to know.

I have sent multiple emails to them with no even a single response. They have a lot of good stuff I would love to purchase. The Ka-52 could be my second helicopter to buy.

    Thanks,

  13. Hi all

Have any of you been able to order modelling items from Russia? I haven't.

If you have, how did you do it?

I noticed that Sprue Brothers recently and HobbyZone  more often have been restocking Quinta Studio interior sets which is in Russia.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

Is there a problem with shipping from Russia?
    I havent had any myself.

I don't know if shipments from Russia are allowed, but payment is a problem.  I have tried to order from Amigo Models or Arma Models in Russia and they cannot accept any western way or payment like PayPal, Visa or Mastercard. Arma Models has a lot of things I would love to order.

Temp-Models website states that they can take PayPal again but I am not sure if that is just and old notice.

    Too bad.

  15. I thought this was an isolated case for me.  I also was charged for items in back order he never sent me.  I send few emails about it and although he answered a couple of them at the beginning telling me that he was having trouble restocking those items, he never followed up or issued any refund.

My last experience with that store was this year.  I placed an order for some paints and then tried to cancel it within an hour or less by sending several email before it was processed (my PayPal account hadn't been charged yet) but he never answered and then I received the order few days later, this time complete. I understand sometimes you cannot cancel an order after certain time, but I don't think this was the case.

I totally believe what he is doing is a bad practice and he needs to fix that if he doesn't want more people to take their business somewhere else.
