Thanks Adam, The kit is 1/125th scale, and will end up being about 21" long. I can just imagine what a sub in 1/72 scale would take up on the display area. Ted -
Hello everyone, This is a very old kit, 1988 by the looks of it, and trust me from the amount of flash on the parts I believe it. I have managed to make a start on it (my first non aircraft model) hopefully I can do some justice to it. There is no raised detail at all on the kit, so the decals have to be used for all the instruments. I have got the majority of the interior done up This is a great idea for a GB, gets us all doing something different. Thanks for looking Ted

I have to agree with Jerry, overall your build looks good. I would suggest the additon of a panel wash to highlight them, and also the addtion of a nice weapon load would bring your A-10 to life. As Jerry pointed out keep building and enjoy it, otherwise its more like work, and we all know how much we enjoy work. Ted

Here is my finished entry. Tamiya 1/48 Mosquito. Finished with MM enamels and some Tamiya Acrylics. Added PE belts, other than that OOB. The decals are from the kit depicting 487 Squadron. I hope you like it :) Ted

Curt, I have to say you did a great job on that kit. I built the same one, and was not very happy about how it turned out. Yours looks good. ;) Ted

Hello Robert, The wash I use is just paint thinner mixed with Model Master Burnt Umber, depending how "dirty" you want the wash, just mix in more paint. I hope this helps. I have a small update on my Mossie for you as well. I have completed the major assembly of the fuselage and attached the wings, there is no need for any filler on either upper or lower joints. ;) I have some seams to fil on the front cockpit joint but other than that it will be filler free. I cut open the bomb bay doors in order to pose them open. Next off to the paint booth for preshading and then paint.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have made some progress. I have managed to complete the fuel tanks and bomb bay, and have closed her up. Very little filler will be required on the seams. As I suspected, you can not seevery much of the cockpit once assembled, but the next one I build will definitely have the Edward PE set installed I hope you like it :) Ted

Dave, it will be nice to see it finished
-
Dave, Your cockpit looks amazing ! :) Very quick build as well. Keep us posted Ted

Hi Ian, Thanks for pointing that out to me. It should be an easy fix I appreciate it Ted

Here is an update to where my build stands. I have completed the landing gear and majority of the cockpit. The cockpit still requires a wash to be complete. I used PE belts from Edward for the seats I hope to have the fuselage completed soon As always your comments / critic's are more than welcome Ted
