  1. No, ADC (Air Defense Command) Gray, was used on Interceptors and there wasn't any usage of the color on bombers.
  2. Very nice, Chris. The finish came out very well and you did a great construction job on her. Nicely done, Sir, I"m looking forward to seeing more of your work.
  3. If you're using Modelmaster Metalizer, use the Titanium shade, then suitable dirty it up.
  4. I'm not 100% sure how the SeaSprite doors work, but it seems to me that if you had the sonobuoy launchers installed, there's no way you can slide that door open. I can't recall the exact length, but IIRC they stick out at least a meter into the cabin.
  5. Wow, that's a beauty!
  6. Now that's pretty. I really like the "fresh from the factory" look.
  7. If you don't feel like doing the bomb bay details, then don't do them and close the doors. Sell off that CE set for lots more than you paid for it.
  8. Beautifully done, Pierpaolo. You must have the patience of a saint…
  9. I've got one of these Phase Hanger conversion sets on the way, it looks pretty nice in their photo. I'm not real good at scratchbuilding, and really I'm not wanting to take the time to do so, so this will help me a lot. This is the aircraft I want to do: http://www.airfighters.com/photo/80610/M/USA-NASA/Lockheed-S-3B-Viking/N601NA/ I've already got decals, a cockpit set, SAC landing gear and the nacelles/fans I posted earlier.
  10. The F-117 used something along those lines when operating in non-combat areas.
  11. This may be worth a look: http://www.airvectors.net/avmohawk.html
  12. The Accurate Miniatures kit is very much state of the art.
  13. SAC does/did make a metal gear set for the S-3. I've got one in the stash (and no, you can't have it).
  14. Link works now. The photo seems to show two complete clear sprues, but I can't tell on my tablet if both canopies are there. It would make sense for both to be there.
  15. There is quite a bit of aftermarket for the S-3 in 1/48. I've got a set of "Early" Fan/Inlet set from Sierra Hotel Models and a metal Scale Aircraft Conversions landing gear set. I don't know that metal is needed, but as I'm adding a resin cockpit, I thought it couldn't hurt (plus I got a good deal oneBay). I also have the True Details Cockpit Set for the S-3B that I think was originally from KMC. Someone also makes a new Sonobuoy Launcher section replacement that has the mods of the S-3B belly area that the S-3B had. You may need to do some searching on your favorite vendors' site(s), but the
  16. Outstanding, Boz, thanks for sharing.
  17. Would love to see an Kinetic do EF-1/E-1 to go along with their S-2.
  18. Thanks for the info, Bobo. I did notice that when I went to your albums that the information was there. Sorry… I'd love to see the A-1.
  19. Very nice, Boz. What scale are these?
  20. Wow, some great work, guys. Zero completions for me this year, unfortunately. Looks almost like the Tamiya Tomcat would get Model of the Year awards from ARC members. Bobo, please include manufacturer and scale on your photos. You've got some really nice models there.
  21. I think Mike West of Lonestar is taking suggestions, it may be worth eMailing hime and requesting that he do these. Although, if he doesn't see a real market for them, he may not be willing to do them.

    Swiss PC-21

Wow! That's very nice work. The PC-21 looks like it's going fast just sitting there! What model and scale, please. I wish there were more Pilatus aircraft available in 1/48.
  23. Wasn't the Sensor Operator's area done in that tan/cream color?
