  1. That looks really nice! Thanks for the photos and for giving us a look at you decals, Kursad.

Which is exported more, the Embraer or Shorts version?

If they do a Shorts version I may end up getting all three Tucano/Super Tucanos. :sunrevolves:

  2. I'm thinking of trying to pick up Quick boost's OH-6A conversion. I saw (somewhere) that the Academy kit is recommended. If the Academy and Hasegawa kits are essentially the same plastic then I'll probably pick up whichever is cheaper. For some reason the Minicraft/Hasegawa releases seem to go cheaper.

I remember building both of the earlier Hasegawa releases back when they first came out and I remember them as being pretty basic kits that went together pretty well.

    TIA

Many thanks to both of you. Interesting detail about the leaking of hydraulic oil. Informations like these are "pepper and salt" for our hobby and makes modeling so interesting.  Kind regards Stefan

That's why most landing gear legs and bays are painted white.

You didnt find it too dark? I think Ti is a good idea. Hadn't even considered that before.

I don't believe it's too dark,  took this photo of an F-15D in Iceland in (IIRC) 1993.

Even allowing for it being on the underside of the aircraft, it still still looks pretty dark.

  5. It's a product well worth having. One tip for a method I use is to test the decals by using an image you don't plan on using on your model. That way, if it doesn't work, you haven't messed up that unique bit of decal you need for the model you're doing. Then apply the Super Decal Film as directed and again, use an image you don't plan on using as a test…

  6. Not a bad kit at all. When I built mine, I even used the original (1970s) decals and all except for one Hinomaru, they worked very well. It is lacking in detail compared to today's modern kits, but it's a good one for sitting on the shelf, for sure.
