  1. Phase hanger resin makes intakes, rear stabs and I believe the seats plus a few other items. Bernie McKenna
  2. out of curiosity, being a former F-15 maintainer, I googled F-15D and got lots of photos. But they may not be what you were looking for or you checked google too. Found there were a lot of changes since 91. Bernie McKenna
  3. MCC 4806/4807 1/48 Martin-Baker Mk-H7 Ejection Seat for F-4 Phantom these are to me in my opinion the best seats out there. They make Navy and AF; they are 3D printed and reasonably priced. They also make seats for the F-14 both early and mid/late. You have to go to eBay I just typed in F-4 ejection seats and thF-14 ejection seats, and they come up. I have 4 sets for the F-4 and will order them for my F-14. I have seats by Hypersonic, Quickboost and Phase Hanger resin and to me they are not as good. Remember this is only my opinion and I'm not taking anything away from the other
  4. Try google .I just did and there are quite a lot of photos and appears a lot in the anti-sub configuration. Bernie McKenna
  5. went on google yesterday and typed in A-10 flap mechanisms got a lot of drawings but they did have photos of the aircraft showing open flaps. You do realize that now I'll have to buy this kit so I can use all the info I have. So much for my tanks. Hope it helps Bernie
  6. I googled A-10 markings and found a lot of shots. You have to keep looking buy you'll come to a section of photos with the boar head markings. This is one there were more but you have to look. photo used for discussion purposes only. It took about 5 minutes to find they are not on the first page. Bernie
  7. If you just google A-10 engines, you get a group of nice color pictures of the engine. Should help. Bernie McKenna
  8. here are some shoots I took years ago at various places. It is a flush riveted aircraft so the rivets don't poke through the paint. Where you see the worn paint i.e. by the cockpit it's just worn from everyone walking there. they are not the best but you can see its flush. Bernie
  9. just googled this and found right away 8-9 nice photos of the cockpit. youshould try it Bernie McKenna
  10. thanks for posting the photo. I'm the weapons guy playing crew chief, hands on hip to remind the pilot hands out of cockpit. Its an AF photo. Reason I know we all have our shirts on and we we didn't do it as it was too hot. Bernie McKenna
  11. I just googled this and there are plenty of photos showing them open.Google is your friend. Bernie McKenna
  12. Would like tom build an F-100 in either 1/48 or 1/32. Which is the better kit Monogram or Trumpeter(HobbyBoss??). How bad is the 1/32 Trumpter kit. Would like to getone done before my hands give out. Worked on the at Tuy Hoa and Phan Rang. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Bernie McKenna
  13. found these in my photos they were given to me.
  14. screwed it up again, gotta stop replying after my bed time. Only MK82s on the ter. Could carry all the other type of bombs on the outboard pylons as far as I know but it seemed they were always Mk82's across. I could be wrong as to the what was carried on the outboards when the ters were loaded but it was over 50 years ago. Bernie
  15. we only loaded MK 82's on the ters either 2 on the shoulder stations or all 3 plus nap or cbu's M117's etc.I never saw any other type bombs on the ter. I was only at Phan Rang for 3 months the other 15 months I was at Tuy Hoa. I'm not saying other stuff wasn't carried on the ters but I never saw it. sorry it took so long to get back but had to put my wife in a nursing home and that used up all my time. Bernie
  16. There were no standard loads for the F-100. We loaded everything on it. I loaded them at Tuy Hoa and Phan Rang. Sanke and nap was not a standard load. We loaded MK-82,M-117,Napalm,CBU's,Rocket Pods, and mixed loads like 2 MK-82's and 2 M-117's. MK-82's and Napalm or M-117's and CBU's. At Phan Rang we carried ters also mostly MK-82's. You can load any of those type of bombs on the aircrat but they were always 2 or 4 iis 2 MK-82's and 2 Nalpale or like 4 MK-117's. It was a lot of fun loading the jet
  17. found these in a shoe box in the attic. They were given to me. Hope they help Bernie McKenna
  18. regardless of what is in his book it was impossible for him to have flown the F-4E at Korat.Simple reason is He PCS'd back to the states in Sept.67 and the first F-4E arrived at Korat on 7 Nov. 1968 and they flew their first mission on 20 Nov.1968. I'm not saying he didn't fly an F 4E in his career. He just wouldn't have done it in Vietnam. He was the commander of cadets at the AF Academy at the time. He never went back .It could be a misprint or so but the dates definingly make it impossible for him to have done it. And yes I read his book too. Bernie McKenna
  19. Col.Olds never flew the E model in Vietnam, He left in Sept.67 firsts E's arrived in Nov.68 at Korat. Bernie McKenna
  20. Just a refection of the camera head. When I was at Spang they had a hard red plastic cover when parked which was removed before engine start. Bernie
  21. oh no here we go again. Are there any shots from GWM of the plastic or just the drawings on the page from DN models Bernie McKenna.
  22. but they didn't take too long releasing the F-14D after they did the A. So maybe we'll get lucky Bernie
  23. got my fuselage halves today. They are perfect no warp took about a week in total to get them. Fine customer service. Bernie
