Well thats all I have in my collection at this time, As I get moore helmets I will update this post. Hope theese proove usefull to someone on our littel modeling community. Happy Modeling Brian Aldridge.
  3. Helmet 6. USAF HGU-55p (SAC 55). With dual inclosed visor mount and MBU-12P Oxygen mask. The extra little mounts you see on top are for the EEU-2P neuclear flash goggles. Theese goggles were mounted to the top of the helmet and connected electronicaly to the helmet via the blue adapter you see at the bottom. The would instantly turn dark when a sudden bright flash was detected, as I understand it anyway. Thees Helmets were worn by Strategic Air Command pilots during the 80's and Early 90's. Helmet 7. USAF HGU-55P with the MBU-12P oxygen mask. Helmet 8. US Navy HGU-33P with MBU-12P
  4. Ok All, as promised here are some pics of my helmet collection. I may have to split this post up as there are a total of 23 pictures. It took quite a bit of effort to photgraph and process theese pics, so I hope that they will serve someones modeling needs. We will start from oldest and move to the newest. Helmet1. WWII ANH-15 canvas helmet with the early A-10a demand oxygen mask, still looking for a suitable pair of goggles for it. Helmet2. WWII ANH-15 canvas helmet with the A-14 demand oxygen mask, B-8 goggles made by Polaroid in the 40's and throat microphone. Helmet3. USAF

  8. Hey all. Here is My 1/48th scale A-1H skyraider. What an awsome kit!! I Allmost just falls together. Just a little filler here and there but not any thig to extensive. It is painted with MM enamels. The antenna wire and static dischargers are made from streched sprue. I mad some different colored pannels to simulate maintanence touch ups and such. This was orriginaly the prop action kit but in the end I could'nt make the motor work for some reason unknown to me so I cliped the wires off and this is what I ended up with. Hope you like!! Comments welcome. Happy Modeling. Brian Aldridge.

  13. Hey All. I am getting ready to start working on Trumpeters 32nd A-7D, and I will also be adding an Aires cockpit set. Wanted to see if anyone here has done this beffore and if they have any pointers for me. How well did the cockpit fit? How much sanding and thining of plastic can I expect? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Brian Aldridge
  14. One awsome lookin hawg Kelly!!!!! Brian Aldridge
  15. Hi Supertom. There allmost certainly is a difference between gunz and MM. I use only MM enamels so I don'nt have any experience with gunz however, different paint manufactures equals different paint formulations. As far as the decals: this is a problem that accures with some kits. I have heard that Academy's CH-46 has the same issue. I think the problem is that the decals are simply printed to match the paint color a little to closly. One thing that you can do to avoid this is to lighten you base colors by 10 or 20% beffore you apply them. Hope this Helps. Happy Modeling Brian Aldridge.
