  1. Hello! Here's my recent project, this very nice Tamiya kit. Nothing else to say regarding its quality and easy to build, it's been around for quite some time now. I've just added Quinta 3d decals and resin wheels. Used Aqueous Gunze paints, my favorites, over Mr Surfacer 1500 black primer. Also, my very first attempt in the riveting process, which is a lot of work; but the result is very satisfying. Hope you'll enjoy. Cheers! George
  2. Hello! This is my most recent project, an israeli Mirage IIIC Shachak, the Eduard 1/48 profipack kit. Have to say that, at least for me, Mirages III, in 1/48 scale, seem to be cursed. In the past, I built a Kinetic kit, a truly nightmare. Really bad engineering, even worse fitting and almost useless instructions. So, after some reviewing of other brands, all of them still looked not great. But, since Eduard has a good reputation and I’ve built some of their other kits fine, I’ve decided to give it a shot. Big disappointment, because this one is also not good. Flashes all over the pla
  3. Hello! This is the Aermacchi MB-326, a reboxed kit released by Italeri , which has been around for quite sometime now. Not a very detailed or free of issues one, but since we have no other choices... Cockpit, seats and wheel bay areas very, very simple, so I went for resin seats (the kit's are too small actually) and, to match the Brazilian built version, I also got larger tip tanks from a local provider. And, of course, extra decals set. These birds, built under license by EMBRAER, were extensively used here in Brazil from 1972 until 2011, mainly in the advanced fighter traini
  4. Hello! This is my recent project, this iconic cold war beast. It’s been one of my favorites jets since I’ve laid my eyes on a big poster, a long time ago, at the Air Force Academy. But this jet is more special for me because of something else. In 2015, I found this remarkable book, about the Cold War and these fighters , called “Never in Anger” by Anthony “Bugs” Bendell, a former RAF fighter pilot. I can not emphasize enough how good it is, as a precise combination of technical aspects of military flying and a fighter jock’s life in the RAF, in those days. It was a great readin
  5. Hi! I don't know what happens here, the pictures are really gone. But I have the same pictures in the "Progress Pics" section. Could you check them out there?
  6. Hi there! This is my recent project. There are few choices if you want an 1/48 F-105(D/G) so I went with HobbyBoss for this. I can’t say I didn’t know about its flaws. I’ll list them here, so perhaps I can give my contribution to those who, like me, love the ‘105 and want to build one. As written in almost every review, the kit is really overengineered in several areas. For instance, the engine, the 20mm gun, the spoilers have way too many parts, that can lead to poor alignment, if you don’t pay attention. The fitting, in general, is just regular, with its fair share of flash a

  8. Hello, This is a P-47D with Brazilian Air Force WW2 colors. The newly established Brazilian Air Force (1941) sent the 1st Fighter Group as part of an Expeditionary Force, operating under US Forces in Italy, from mid 1944 until the end of hostilities in Europe. Since the allies had already air superiority in the area, these birds were mainly engaged in interdiction missions, initially operating from Tarquinia airfield, and moving north eventually. German anti aircraft fire was still very effective, and some pilots were KIA and a few became POW. Yet, they destroyed a lot of targets during
  9. This is my recent project. A very nice kit, without any issues, except for the clear parts for the Maverick missiles; they just don’t fit into their places. Used Eduard canopy masks and PE for the cockpit, and metal pitot tube/cannon. Only thing I’d change would be the rubber tires. I mean, they’re ok, but if they had resin, for instance, those would take a better weathering. Decals were also good. Hope you enjoy. Cheers! George
  10. Hello! Latest project, another ‘109, always a nice model. This one from Eduard is very good, came with some resin, PE and canopy masks. I’ve tried to display a very weathered one, as I think it should be the case operating in north Africa those days. Decals went just fine. Hope you’ll enjoy! Cheers!
  11. Hi there, This my recente project, one of those very nice Eduard Migs 21. Used canopy masks, interior PE and metal pitot tube. No issues at all and, despite being a little bit worried about the “tiger stripes” decals, they turned out great. Very thin and went well with Mr Softer. These aircraft had this commemorative painting only for a relatively short period of time, so I decided to weather just enough to show the dirt that comes from normal flying, i.e., didn’t degraded the paint to have too many scratches and/or chipping. Hope you enjoy! Cheers!
