  1. It took me awhile to warm up to the new BSG, I love the orginal series. After watching it and following it to the end of season two, I can not wait for season three. I already bought season one and two on DVD.
  2. Luiquitex makes a product called "Slow-Dri blending Fluid Medium" or you can find other retarding fluids. Adding retarding fluids will also help with the clogs. Make sure your tips are clean as well
  3. Zactoman thanks for the reference that help alot. All I would like to do is small 1/48 scale canopies. The pic of your vacuum machine will do for me. I need to get busy and build one.
  4. Thanks for the suggestions Keeper. I have been doing some reseach and I have found some articles on how to build a vacuum form. These articles are not that good. Will need to put more time in finding the parts and putting it together. The other option is to do some shopping around and see what company makes them. The next options is thermaform from Squadron.
  5. Hello all , What tools would I need to create a new canopy? Are there other techniques to creating canopies? My canopy for my project is completely ruined. Need some help.

I am looking for a good detail photographs of the cockpits for my corsair. Any suggestions whould be appreciated.
  7. Yup, I had a smelly feeling about Tamiya's thinner. I figure if I could save some money, hey why not go with isopropyl alcohol, plus from what I have read is works just as good.
  8. Tamiya thinner smells very similar to isopropyl alcohol. Would anyone know what exactly the name of the solution that Tamiya uses? It is expensive compared to just buying isopropyl. What thinners do you use for Tamiya paints?
  9. Clarity is the key When I spray a fine line, for example, I should get a uniform, tight, well define line. In my case I am getting a line that is not the case. The "overspray" is the little dots of paint that have shot outside of my target area. Sort of "spitting." I wish I could take a picture to show what I am talking about, I have heard a picture is worth a thousand words. No camera yet, didn't get one for Christmas.
  10. I use Tamiya, Model Master, and Gunze acylics. Too much overspray Am I not thinning properly? What ratios do you commonly use?
