  1. Someone wants me to build that OY-TCHπŸ˜€πŸ˜€That TCG that came from Finland, was delayed an hour and half, TCH came from Copenhagen much earlier, and was switched as our return flight, and the Danish return flight was "delayed" and flew with TCG!
  2. Thanks, Jonathan. So it seems I have several options! Actually the plane I flew with was OY-TCG,and tomorrows return flight eith the same plane. Any idea where I can get those white letters?
  3. Thanks a lot. I was not aware of those Nazca decals, will make an order when back at home. And yes, my flight went well, have been enjoying wonderful weather here in Madeira. Unfortunately my vacation will end next monday.
  4. Any plans for Sunclass airlines (ex Thomas Cook Nordic) Airbus A321-211? I'm flying in the beginning of January from Helsinki to Madeira (if it won't be canceled because of COVID) and have in my stash a Zvezda kit? Last Monday they flew with OY-TCD, but it remains to be seen, which aircraft of their fleet I will be flying at.
  5. Almost there! Succeeded with the winglets and the other side of the tail. Now waiting for the tail to dry so I can trim it, and then apply the other side.
  6. I was born in Turku, spent my working years in Helsinki and after retirement moved to Joroinen (a little town between Mikkeli and Kuopio). BTW My father was heavily interested in moving to Australia in the sixties. My mother prevented us doing so πŸ˜‰
  7. Thank You, Sir! Unfortunately it is not over yet! Still struggling with the tail and inside of winglets. Wish I had invested to a laser printer when I bought a new inkjet at the end of summer. Engines are fine, the orange color on the decals is almost spot on with the paint. Wish I had an ALPS-printer, just printing the white letters and painting the rest.
  8. Part (half?) of the decals are in their places. This has been quite a struggle, only decals that behaved were those Authentic Airliners windows. The kit's walkway decals were P.I.T.A, they stuck to the wings immediately and were very hard to move. Had to make some corrections to the starboard wing, with a drop of paint and a black line from some old decal. Those self-made decals I had to print a couple of times, and coat them with some protective layer. AK clear varnish wasn't good, for some reason it melted in water, Micro Decal Film was used to those smaller decals, and now the large ones ar
  9. Painted and clear coated, waiting to cure and then the fun part, the decals!
  10. And now the wings (and landing gear and some other parts) are light grey. I use Real Colors RC214 (RAL 7035)as a substitute for Being Grey. It might be a bit too light, but easily available and real nice paint to airbrush. Only inconvenience is, that it is a bit sensitive to stronger decal setting solutions.
  11. Some progress. Painted the leading edges with Zero Paints Silver Base, masked them, and then painted the outsides of the winglets with Vallejo Model Color Light Orange. Not the optimal paint for paintbrush, but lots of thinner and a couple drops of flow enhancer makes them manageable. There are some images of the plane with the starboard engine's front nacelle painted white (spare part after some mishap?). I'm tempted to paint the model like it.
  12. Jetphotos has lots of pictures of this jet. They refer the airline as "Jettime"πŸ™ƒ Yes, this is the Zvezdas C-40/737/700 kit.
  13. Sorry, the airline name should be Jet Time Finland. It was part of the Danish Jet Time, and both of them ended operation summer 2020, mainly because of COVID pandemic. This particular jet was registered to Finland in 2014, previous reg was Danish OY-JTZ. I flew to a 2 week holiday to Madeira on this plane in August 2018. The current Jettime company operates with four B737 planes since July 2021
  14. My current project, started this last year by designing decals for this (I didn't know Pointerdog7 had decals for 737-300, and the 700 differs a bit from those). Assembled the jet and puttied it. Current state of the project, first coat of primer, still some corrections to be made. The engines have been painted three times, because I was not satisfied with the color. This third attempt is near, but not spot on.
  15. Thanks Ray. Yes kit decals and a self printed decal for the windscreen. It is a little wonder the kit decals were still usable after the decades they spent in the box!
