Glad to see you've made progress, Craig! Curious if you finished. Thanks again for your assistance. I couldn't find anything, especially for the time frame. I presumed it was closer to an A than a B, so I didn't use the B panel. My buddy couldn't get photos of the cockpit of the Harrier in Huntsville, but even then, it was heavily modified over the years.

Thanks for the kind words. Nils, Sincere apologies for the typo! Kudos for the decals; they worked great!!! Plan more (not the Harrier...too much work!) Steve, The first prototype is now at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. Not sure if it is on normal display. Believe it is part of their air camp. Ken took those pics for me a few years ago.
  3. Good point. You can do it when it dries, but it is easier when still wet.
  4. Yes. I have done it several times. I find the best tool is a razor saw. It does take care and you may get some chipping.
  5. Would like to see if someone who used an AM intake has their intake doors leftover. Parts are L9x6, L10 & L11. Thanks!
  6. Those two are good. I would also add the Hobbytown in Arlington (I-20 and Cooper). I would also look at Wild Bill's; still a fun place for plastic.
  7. Superscale 48-717 (Think that is what I used for this).
  8. Here are a couple I based my land based Marine F6F. Unsure from where I got these.
  9. Quick question: Did Academy correct the subsequent 1/48 F-4 nose A/C scoops/intakes? Curious if I have to get AM or correct another way. Thanks in advance.
  10. Polk is the armpit of the military universe. I advised the LA ARNG and we would have to go down there on drill weekends (from Shreveport)and a month during their AT (96-99). One movie theater in town with two screens, terrible club, wretched golf course (it had potential). Leesville just hasn't much of anything. There were some places our team would not want to go (and we were all big guys). Stewart wasn't bad compared to Polk (though I lived in Savannah). I was there 92-96 (2-4 CAV and 4-64 AR) At least Bliss has a town with some redeeming qualities. I did some time there TDY. ADA la
  11. Amazon has good variety and for fairly cheap. Just have to buy in packages.
  12. Dave, Looks great! Love the finish! George
  13. Interesting. Of note the UAE (one of those in blue on the map) has started compulsory service for Emiratis either in the military or government. Different rules for education and time to serve. It isn't much, but better than nothing. They have come to realize the Emirati youth are spoiled, unpatriotic and take things for granted. I really think it is a good thing and has some positive response from the Emiratis. Funny story: There was some rich kid of an Emirati billionaire businessmen who was in a video; showing off flying in a private jet, driving his Ferrari, playing the "rapper fashionis
  14. Impressive! Great scratch-build detail. Very well done.
  15. Just discovered a Hobbytown in Lewisville (North DFW) off of I-35E and Highway 3040. Plastic selection is average, but they have an excellent supply of paints. Best I have seen in DFW.
  16. Congratulations!!! This may help. https://screen.yahoo.com/joys-marriage-000000634.html
  17. Latest update. RC Hobbies (Tri-County Hobbies) has definitely taken a new direction. Mostly focused on RC now. What used to be a 50foot isle of plastic aircraft is now down to 10. Looks like most of the plastic inventory has been compressed. Supplies are okay. Disappointing compared to what they used to have. Hobby Maniacs is about the same selection wise; only about 10 feet of isle for plastic. Mostly focused on RC. If you're in to RC, both would be good to check out.
  18. Visiting B'ham. Looks like Model Box had a fire. Sign in the window says it will be opening again, but doesn't look like soon.
  19. Great museum and collection! Visited there when I was TDY to Dover about 10 years ago. Well worth a little side trip.
