  1. Plenty of non-staggered G's got the pumpkin turret in the ETO. They shipped conversion kits to the depot at Burtonwood.
  2. Both are good. Read this... https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?/topic/80645-hobby-boss-148-yak-28p-firebar/&tab=comments#comment-1133297
  3. I seriously doubt it. With all the delays, and the stuff they've had to re-tool already, they are likely to lose their shirts on it as it is, much less if they have to keep making substantial changes to the tooling.
  4. Which you can say about all the other AMK kits as far as I'm concerned. As much as people drool all over them, the very first thought I had when I opened the box on the very first AMK kit I saw (the L-29 Delfin), and which was exactly the same on every other AMK kit I have seen since is that the panel lines are way too coarse. To their credit, they're not mushy like a lot of Kinetic's stuff was (before they started their Gold line). They're nice and crisp, but they're far too big and heavy. The Kfir is the same, the MiG-31 is the same. And it looks like the F-14 is the same.
  5. Who called it a “fatal flaw”? I’ve looked all over that thread and nowhere in it does anyone call it a fatal flaw. It’s just an observation, and some (honestly, really good) information on details that a lot of people (me included) didn’t know about the airplane in question. If you don’t care about details on your models, that’s great for you. Some people do.
  6. Amur Reaver. But all of their 109 stuff is listed as “out of stock”. I don’t know if they have plans to reissue any of it. I have a couple of their sets and they’re gorgeous.
  7. That’s right, my mistake. I think he talked about a B-50 specific set. The B-50 cowling is quite different from the KC-97 and 377 cowlings.
  8. That would be wunnaful (to quote Lawrence Welk). And what about a complete family of F-86s to go with their T-33? Start with the A and go right up to the H, and include the Avon powered birds!
  9. Their 1/48 kit is due before the end of the year.
  10. Of *course* there is. It’s ARC after all!
  11. They said in Phoenix they were working on it. Nothing else since as far as I'm aware. I hope they've used Jumpei Temma's drawings.
  12. With an aircraft as numerous as the T-33, you'll always find exceptions to the rule, but as a rule, the inboard surfaces of the tanks were black in the overwhelming number of cases.
  13. I'd be interested in a 1/48 kit. 1/72 is too small for my old eyes and fat fingers.
  14. Cobra Company made a very necessary set of engine nacelles and wheels for it. The engine nacelles are very inaccurate. They're closer to KC-97 nacelles in detail, which are very different from B-50s. Not sure if Lone Star has reissued that set or not.
  15. Given how many thousands of Grand Caravans have been built, and are in service all over the world, it seems like a good candidate for a short run injection molded kit. I've flown them in several places in the Third World over the past 20 years.
  16. Very light gray. Given that this airplane still has its original MATS delivery markings visible, my guess would be Boeing Gray (aka FS16515). Lots of KC-135s had engine cowlings that color as well.
  17. Oh, so you have one of the kits in your hands then? Lucky!
  18. You’re a freaking idiot. Try Googling the word “opinion” and tell us what it says. I have four different AMK kits, and six different GWH kits. EVERY SINGLE ONE of AMK’s has panel lines wider and deeper (considerably so) than ANY of the GWH kits I own. But maybe I got oddball kits and all of the AMK kits everybody else has have really fine, petite panel lines. That must be it. You people amaze the crap out of me.
  19. That's exactly the reason the late Eldred Mason of Bare Metal told me he had to quit doing ANG subject matter. It simply didn't sell.
  20. Yes. Bitter rivals. Fierce competitors. Doing the same thing hoping to attract more buyers. And GWH's F-14 will blow AMK's out of the water if for no other reason than their surface detail is probably half as deep and wide as AMK's.
  21. GWH says there is no connection, they are bitter rivals, and they have no reason to lie about it. GWH got a huge laugh out of this when it first surfaced a few weeks ago.
  22. GWH has ****NOTHING**** to do with AMK. Zero. Completely unrelated in any way other than that both companies are in China.
  23. Any updates on this amazing project??
