  1. I'm in just because of laughs in the chat room. Missed it a couple or so years so it'll be fun.
  2. Hey Guys, I'm going to rebuild a 72 Airfix Hawker Hunter FGA.9 into a FRADU GA11 or a Swedish J 34 whichever I can get. If anyone can donated 6 RAF or 3 Swedish roundels to my rebuild it would be much appreciated. Ones from Airfix's 1/72 scale HS Buccaneer or Boeing Vertol Sea Knight 107 would be okay. TIA. Here's an image of the RAF roundel. RAF Lo-Viz roundel
  3. Thanks. It seems they switched to the Kitech/Zhendefu kit (HC1314) from the Idea Korea (HC1353 & 1335) one which was a bad copy of the Italeri prototype F/A-18A. Don't worry. I won't waste my time on either of them but was just curious about it and since now I know who the original manufacturer is, was able to find more photo info about it.
  4. Very sad indeed. I remember watching those old Star Trek reruns with my brother when we were kids. Also seen his many appearances in other tv series like: Night Gallery, The Man from Uncle, Mission Impossible, just to name a few. But I'll always remember him as Mr. Spock. RIP, Mr. Nimoy (my hand raised in a Vulcan greeting as a salute to Leonard Nimoy).
  5. Can anyone tell me if it's the same prototype F-18 that was offered in their old hc1353 and hc 1335 boxings? I couldn't find any images of the kit on the net. TIA. HC1314 HC1353 HC1335
  6. Not able to help but I too also noticed the skyrocket postage prices from US to Canada. If our American cousins can tell us, I'd like to know if books, Squadron/Signal Publication types, are now expensive to ship from the US to Canada.
  7. Me thinks I'll stick with my Kit Kats and Mr. Big chocolates. Those "Dear Leader Mints" will probably have a Kim Jong Un-inspiring taste similar to Jonestown Kool-Aid.
  8. Here's the Idea of S. Korea models' copy of the Monogram 1/48 Corsair. Notice the kid in the cockpit - where's his flight suit?
  9. Unfortunately the ESCI one won't work as the layout is different. Thanks to Lancer512, a suitable scan of the instructions for 151 is now with me.
  10. How bad is this box art? Does it scream build me or toss me into the bin?!
  11. These 80's Testors boxing are just as uninspiring as those Minicraft/Hasegawa ones of the 80's. The table is more interesting - looks very nice. Here's an even more ugly box art of the bug. What carrier is that? Notice the line up of bugs on the deck, all in the prototype paint scheme.
  12. Does anyone have the instructions for the 1/72 scale Italeri Tornado Gr.1 kit #151 or Tornado Marine kit#171 and can scan it? I've got kit 151 with decals for kit 171 but no instructions. TIA.
  13. Saw the CBC report on it. Nice footage of those CF-18's. Also on a side note, very sad to hear about one of the two military personnel in Quebec passing away after being run down by a domestic terrorist in a car. The other is in stable condition.
  14. Nice Spitfire. I can't really tell you as I've never done commission work and build only for fun but that was in the past - my current situation doesn't allow for it at the moment. Sounds like you built that Spitfire without a client in mind so selling it now would require more time finding that right customer. Your best bet would be auctioning it on ebay or other like sites. I have seen some pro-builts go from what other have mentioned above some seem to stay around these auction sites while others get a bidding war. You may get more than you expected but then again you may get less but I'd c
  15. They probably saw a kit that's really hard to find with a high asking price on ebay and decided why not ask for the moon on my run of mill kit that's available in LHS around the world. Since they can use ebay, you'd think they know how to use the internet and do some research before listing some ridiculous starting price.
  16. Just go with the Hasegawa one. If you need the weapons, get the Hasegawa weapons set. Fujimi's are harder to find and aren't cheap anymore. Note: The Tamiya one is the same as the Italeri one. It's cheap but be forewarned.
  17. I grew up watching Robin Williams from the first time he was on tv in "Happy Days" and then onto to his own show "Mork & Mindy" which I still watch as reruns on a local channel; the last being on Sunday afternoon. The range of his talent really showed through during his movie career. Many here have mention many of his great films but I'll still remember him in "The World According to Garp". Thanks, Mr. Williams for entertaining us and may you finally be at peace. RIP. Nanu Nanu .
  18. If anyone has the season 4 dvd set, just look at the episode called "In the Soup". At the end where Ward has a talk with the Beaver, look at the left of Ward's head when he sits down and you'll notice this gem on the bookshelf behind him. Wonder if Revell was one of the sponsors for the show? The above box is also featured in the episode "Beaver's Fear" about 10 minutes in when the Beaver talks about his fear of the rollercoaster with Wally. Also in the episode "Beaver's First Date", there is a Revell Grumman F-9F-8 Cougar in top of a Revell box on the bookshelf behind Beaver's head.
  19. I had that same Buff too. Yeah, I agree it was cool especially hanging from the ceiling in my room when I was a kid. I think your right. It was bugging me as it didn't look like a 1/48 F-100 when I noticed the vent on the side. I checked some images on the net to verify. Plus, the exhaust looked more like that of a F-90. Sorry but those comics were way ahead of my time. Thanks for the input, Hawk10.
  20. Thanks, Grant. The one Hugh Beaumont (Ward Cleaver), Tony Dow (Wally Cleaver) and Jerry Mathers (Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver) really stumped me. Gee whiz, that's a Lindberg F-100 in Mr. Beaumont's hands. Golly gee, I missed seeing the mid wing rocket pods with the kit in Mr. Dow's hands. ikar, that looks like a fuel tank under his hand and yes, did notice that revell sub. Yeah, it's still fun to watch on tv after all these years.
  21. The show original aired before my time but when it got a revival during the 80's on tv, I finally got to see the show when I was a kid. With it now on dvd and again on tv, I began watching some episodes and always found it interesting to see a Revell model kit box on the desk next to the bookshelf in Wally and Beaver's room. Usually there's some airplane on top of the box which I believe were a B-52, KC-135 and a B-47. Beaver was playing with the B-47 in the end of an episode where he had a house guest (a summer camp friend of divorced parents). Having gotten more curious of the connection I r
