  1. I hope someone has this 1/48 scale Hobbycraft Sea Fury and can scan the instructions. It really needs to be the elite kit because I need to know where the photo-etch stuff goes. TIA. Here's the image of the box I got off an ebay link.
  2. The best one was that dude in the Canadian party surrounded by all those pretty women. If it were an American party would the tv have football, baseball or basketball on? Just shows that guys are the same all over the world, we do like our sports. And now for something completely different, thank you to the USA for taking the Bieb and Celine Dion off our hands .
  3. Doesn't look like much of a styling change. Like another ARC, I think the hood/bonnet needs to be shaved down because as it is right now, it looks like they just slapped on a new front facia to give it a more Euro look. If it comes down to American Mustangs, my favorites would be the 67 & 68 Shelby's. For Euro Mustangs it'd be the 80's Aston Martin V-8 Vantage.
  4. Many well written words about him have already been posted. He will be greatly missed but his legacy will endure. RIP Mr. Nelson Mandela
  5. My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family, Terry. I can relate to losing a parent. It's about 8 years ago I lost my father suddenly in an MVA. All I can tell you is that when the smallest of things brings back memories of them, you'll tear up but their sort of happy tears because the memories will be of happy times you had with them. I hope this will help ease your pain.
  6. The topic's subject line was meant for the furloughed people right? Because I never heard of a politician ever getting back to work, let alone working . I must say I enjoy reading the posts here and agree with Les' thoughts. Hope this will help our American cousins, Canada is just about in the same boat. Our prime minister just doesn't show up for sittings where questions will get heated, especially those on Senator Mike Duffy. BTW our senators aren't elected so they aren't accountable for their actions or so they thought . With all that last minute late night brew ah ah in Washington, it
  7. Some days it sure feels like it. Especially since the 2008 economic fallout. I wish those financial eggheads who say were not in a recession would take off those rose colored glasses. Hell I'm in a depression since being laid off and would like some advice on how to beat a teenager for a lot and lobby job at the local Mickey D's.
  8. You can try using the RF-5E (non Tiger eye) noses not sure but they might have that shark like profile; I don't have a either AFV or Monogram kits to compare with. I believe the recce nose for the F-5A were common to all Airforces operating F-5A's. Hope this helps
  9. I PVR'd it and just watched it. It's hosted by Ewan McGregor and his brother Colin who is an ex-RAF Tornado pilot. They both did a two hour show on the Battle of Britain last year where Colin trained to fly a Spitfire. In "Bomber Boys", Colin trains to fly the only airworthy Lancaster in Britain with Ewan in the mid-turret and later in the bomb aimer position. It's interesting on both the history of Bomber Command and the background of the McGregor brothers' interest in WW2 RAF.
  10. I can really understand your frustration with the Canucks. Luckily for me I'm more of a Habs fan because of their rich and respectable team history. I think the Canucks organization once asked Scotty Bowman to be a consultant to the GM and he flat out refused. Probably because Vancouver isn't a highly regarded NHL franchise. I think the players stopped listening to Alain Vigneault. Recently AV has been too soft on the star players where Quinn would have chewed their asses for under performing. Gillis may have sealed his fate in last years trade deadline when he gave away the franchise's next
  11. I got a Roughriders loonie too. Also got a Habs one. Nice to see the reverse side of the five'r having something more up to date. I also wished the twenty would have more Canadian content by replacing the Queen with another promenient Canadian Prime Minister.
  12. The Lockout earlier in this shorten season turned me off of the NHL and I followed junior and minor league hockey where players play for the love of the game and not for the paycheque. All I know is that Animal's Canucks will lose to the Sharks in 4 maybe 5 if the Nucks wake up and realise it's the playoffs. Vancouver hasn't been a contender since June 2011 and being basically the same team has issues mentally for the run to the Stanley Cup. I'll be passing on the NHL playoffs this year and enjoy a some builds and the junior and minor league playoffs which I'll probably stick to thanks to the
  13. My condolences to the three victims' families. It's a shame that these terrorist groups fed off misguide youth to do their slimey work for an agenda that I can't understand - how does it make the world a better place?! Thanks madmike for posting Patton Oswalt's words. When put in that perspective, I feel better about humanity and how we, good people, outnumber them, the evil dark nut jobs.
  14. Very sad when I heard of her passing on the news. Young girls today could sure use a role model like her instead of what, dare I say it, skanks Hollywood is pushing out in the entertainment world.
  15. I admire her for that too. Didn't know she gave Dubya's Dad that talk. The strange thing is I saw the movie "The Iron Lady" with Meryl Streep as Maggie and thought Ms. Thatcher had already past away so you can see I was quite surprised by the news reports of her death this morning. RIP Ms. Thatcher.
  16. I haven't gotten this but it seems like the Nigerian prince email scam with a new twist. It amazes me how they keep using this wire some money scam with new scenarios. Good you were cautious. Another one that was here a few years back was scammers asking sellers to ship items before payment. These "buyers" would never send payment nor answer pm's and just disappear from the site only to comeback with a new username. Despicable how these people can live among us.
  17. I'm also torn on it too. It really shows how messed up our world is with ironic catch-22 rules.
  18. Very sad to hear this. My condolences to his family and friends.
  19. If you haven't gotten through to them via telephone nor email, you can just snail mail them at: 445 Edgeley Blvd, Unit 1 Concord, Ontario L4K 4G1 Canada As VMFA314Knights "David" mentioned, since the F2H-3/4 is no longer in production with Hobbycraft and you'll end up with the bad news that they can't help you since it's been out of production. Your other choice is to try and see if Academy could help you since they took over the molds for the Hobbycraft Banshee/Banjo.
  20. You're gonna need alot of Testors balsa wood tube glue.
  21. With Vice-President Miley Cyrus at his side when Da Bieb makes the annoucement.
  22. There will be an exhibit in the museum called 'Human activities of the past' where there a person hunched over a table applying a part to a scale model surounded by number of model kit boxes stacked in a somewhat jengo manner. A teacher will be explaining this activity called the hobby of scale modeling to children because the last scale modeler was extinct 20 years prior to 2063. As other mentioned people would now hit the print it button on the Hasegawa website to print out the replica of whatever in whatever scale. Modelus erectus will be the Latin name projected in the air above the exhibi
  23. Here's a 30 minute NFB Canada film on construction of the Canadair Argus. Click here to see. Since at the moment I'm unable to contribute alot of $, I hope this will help motivate others and help David achieve his goal. Also making a supplement mold for a Yukon and Britannia sprues would give the main tool much more appeal and longer lifespan.
