  1. The canopy strut is a big one! If the pneumatic system isn't the tightest, that canopy will come down like a ton of bricks once the air has bled off.
  2. If you can't source any Hasegawa gear legs, Eduard has a brass set of replacement legs for their kit. You may be able to use them on the Hasegawa, or even look to see if SAC has produced any white metal replacements which would be a direct copy of the Hasegawa gear.
  3. Spruebrothers just posted the Hobbyboss Hurricane today. Arma Hobby are about to release their new 1/48 kit, which I think we'll find to be the definitive Hurricane kit when it gets into people's hands.
  4. The P-38 has had the H (in limited amounts) and J released fairly soon after the F/G first arrived in 2019. The L is the only significant variant left in the line.
  5. G&G Model Shop is the only game in town these days for a true hobby shop. Based on the address you gave, it is about a 30 minute drive for you, but could be much more depending on the time of day you can go. Weekends shouldn't be an issue. Dallas will be a 4 hr drive for you. It is a small shop, but has an old school feel to it. They have an OK selection of 1/48 aircraft, but they do large consignments, and I gather most are kept in the back. I didn't realize that the last few times I've been, so I never asked to go back there. Check out their Facebook page to see what I'm talk
  6. They have confirmed with some people that have asked, that the AD-5/A-1E is going to be the first release. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235121826-148-douglas-ad-5-skyraider-family-by-pilot-replicas-first-release-a-1e/
  7. I'm not sure if you want to, but I think adding a 6 and 8 gun nose replacement could be a good idea. Vector created the first nose set, but they barely had it released, and then Russia invaded Ukraine shutting that supply down. Another gentleman was selling 3D printed sets recently from Facebook, but he has decided to stop production to focus on new projects. His files can still be purchased, but you have to know someone with a printer. The kit could also use a massive upgrade in props, although the K's aren't as bad as the B's & C's. Gorgeous wheels btw! I look fo
  8. Fightertown had it on their sheet 48058, along with two Centennial Hornets from VFC-12 and New Orleans, the VX-4/VX-9 Vandy 1 F-14A &D, a Super Hornet, and a throwback China Lake A-4E. I have wanted that sheet for a long long long time, but it is made of unobtanium nowadays.
  9. I have also seen variations to the colors of the canopy, wingtips, tail tip, and horizontal tips. Some decals sheets call for all red, some say all blue, and some show a mixture of the two. I have yet to find more than one photo of the airplane to verify much at all. I would like to do an Eduard in the markings since I built or started Monogram after Monogram as a kid, and never used the kit decals.
  10. Other than Hasegawa doing a full kit release of Black 6, I have never seen any other aftermarket decals. I find it somewhat surprising given that she was fairly well known as the first original airworthy 109 since the 50's, and is also a very historic airframe. A sheet dedicated to all her schemes would be pretty interesting I'd think. That being said, her German markings aren't terribly difficult to piece together with a couple of those German numbers and squadron insignia sheets.

  12. Arnaud, They were definitely all later airframes with the slats. The only hard wing drones were the RF-4C's converted towards the end of the program.
  13. Academy has re-released the Accurate Miniatures kits several times over the last few years, and this is likely to be another with new decals. The new A-10 is intriguing...the new tool Zero and Wildcat from them, when Eduard is doing exactly the same, is a bit puzzling.
  14. Kursad, how are things looking in this area with the large amounts of orders you've been getting lately? I'd hate to miss out on something because I've been procrastinating.
  15. Hi Curt, I can help a little. 160 is the airplane flown by George Welch, and 155 flown by Ken Taylor during the attack. I’ve only been able to find one photo of 300. I’m not sure there is any proof that it was airborne on 12-7-41, but it was on the island. As for 284, it definitely was not airborne that day. It had gone through a ground loop prior to the attack, and was in a hangar at Wheeler under repair. She did fly again after December 7th, but eventually ended up in a mountain crash on Oahu. It was recovered and still survives today as the last fighter s
