  1. Thanks. I have a bunch of Flying Leathnecks stuff in the stash so I can go that route.
  2. Looking at this photo, what launcher is the AIM-120 on? Can AIM-9's use the same launcher? This looks like the center pylon vice the one closer to the wingtip? Am I correct?
  3. Getting ready to paint the LITENING Pod for my harrier and the Hasegawa instructions don't give a color. My photo's show it to be darker than the bottom gray. Is the pod gray or dark green (olive?)
  4. Another great build, cost stopped me from buying one, and I am glad because I don't have your skills.
  5. A friend was gifted a Tamiya 1/100 Buccaneer and the decals shattered. He wants to build the Royal Navy version. Does anyone have a complete or partial sheet they'd be willing to sell?
  6. A couple of minutes between car loads. I used the Flying Leathernecks det cord for the canopy. Fairly smooth application, one small area on the front refused to adhere, but I think that's my fault as we put future on the canopy before attaching the decal. Still happy with it. The external tanks came out good. A small seam on the tail-cone, but I need to look at my reference photos to see if it's there or if I didn't do a good job assembling. Off to pack and move some more.
  7. No aircraft as Ft Sam is this years host. 😞
  8. Started building the external tanks, then I remembered I bought a set from Flying Leathernecks. WOW! Great detail and well engineered. 3 piece tank with connector caps that go inside the tanks. Assembly was very easy with minimal putty. I also have the Flying Leathernecks AV-8 pylon set, again great detail, but no instructions in the package or on the website that I could find. IMO, you have to have @Dave Roof's pylons if you buy his tanks, using the kit pylons would require removing details from the tanks, a darn shame if you ask me.
  9. We must have bought from the same seller, my canopy was cracked. I'll look to see if I still have the kit. You can have the decals if I still have them.
  10. Yes on the acrylic, will try this.
  11. I have a minicraft 757 on the shelf of doom that I want to restart. It was sprayed (rattle can) with Vallejo Flat White and Gloss. The gloss orange peeled, and multiple attempts to fix have failed. I am resigned to stripping the paint and using an airbrush for round two. Other than sanding, is there any other way to remove the paint?
  12. Same venue as last year?
